Reader Highlights Areas Of Disagreement

Greetings in the name of
the Lord.
I read parts of your
divorcing.html document [Divorcing and Marrying
Again Without Sinning]. If you read my divorce
article at my web site [http://www.frankcaw.com/divorce.html], then you probably won't be surprised when I say --- with
all due respect and brotherly love --- that I most assuredly disagree with some
of what you say. For instance, although it's nice for a woman to have the
approval and blessing of her parents or even just her father, it's most
certainly her decision alone about whether or not she marries someone; we live
in the age of Christian freedom and enlightenment, not the bondage and
restrictions of ancient laws and customs. Likewise, a divorced woman can, in
fact, re-marry if she was unfairly divorced by her husband without just
biblical cause; in such cases, it is the man who is in trouble with God, not
the poor victim, i.e., the wife who is divorced without cause. Please read my
