Are You A Barren Christian?

Are you barren? Have you tried having children but haven't yet succeeded? Do you believe in Yahweh the Creator of human beings? Do you believe he has power to give human beings children? Have you sought him to give you a child but have yet to receive the requested child? Do you know why he hasn't yet given you the child you have sought from him?

Doesn't he promise to give human beings good things when they ask him for those good things? Didn't he so promise, through his Son Yah'shuah the Christ, in Matthew 7:7-11, which reads,

7:7"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you. 7:8For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. 7:9Or what man is there of you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 7:10Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent? 7:11If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

Doesn't Yahweh also say the following in Isaiah 50:2-3,

50:2Why, when I came, was there no man? When I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it can’t redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst. 50:3I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.

Doesn't Yahweh clearly show that he has power to deliver you from your barrenness? Then why hasn't he yet delivered you from your barrenness? Why hasn't he done so, yet he also portrays himself as being more ready to give you good things than your parents are ready to give you good gifts? Or is there something that ought to be in place that is not in place, thereby preventing your receiving a child and deliverance from your barrenness?

Isaiah 59:1-15 reads,

59:1Behold, Yahweh’s hand is not shortened, that it can’t save; neither his ear heavy, that it can’t hear: 59:2but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. 59:3For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue mutters wickedness. 59:4None sues in righteousness, and none pleads in truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity. 59:5They hatch adders’ eggs, and weave the spider’s web: he who eats of their eggs dies; and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper. 59:6Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands. 59:7Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; desolation and destruction are in their paths. 59:8The way of peace they don’t know; and there is no justice in their goings: they have made them crooked paths; whoever goes therein does not know peace. 59:9Therefore is justice far from us, neither does righteousness overtake us: we look for light, but, behold, darkness; for brightness, but we walk in obscurity. 59:10We grope for the wall like the blind; yes, we grope as those who have no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the twilight; among those who are lusty we are as dead men. 59:11We roar all like bears, and moan sore like doves: we look for justice, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us. 59:12For our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and as for our iniquities, we know them: 59:13transgressing and denying Yahweh, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. 59:14Justice is turned away backward, and righteousness stands afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and uprightness can’t enter. 59:15Yes, truth is lacking; and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Yahweh saw it, and it displeased him who there was no justice.

Doesn't Isaiah 59 show that it is iniquities and multiplied transgressions that separate a people from Yahweh, and sins that hide his face from them, so that he doesn't hear their prayers, even when they seek good from him? Don't such people deny Yahweh? Doesn't this show us that it is essential to walk righteously before Yahweh, to follow Yahweh faithfully, in order that he may hear our prayers to him for good?

Are you walking righteously before Yahweh? Are you faithfully following Yahweh? If not, shouldn't you change from your iniquities and transgressions that Yahweh may indeed hear your prayer, and deliver you from your barrenness? Or do you think that you are already walking in faithfulness and righteousness before Yahweh, and therefore do not need to change your manner of life before Yahweh?

John 8:41-47 reads,

They said to him, "We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father, God."

8:42Therefore Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came out and have come from God. For neither have I come of myself, but he sent me. 8:43Why don’t you understand my speech? Because you can’t hear my word. 8:44You are of your father, the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and the father of it. 8:45But because I tell the truth, you don’t believe me. 8:46Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me? 8:47He who is of God hears the words of God. For this cause you don’t hear, because you are not of God."

Are you like the Jews of Yah'shuah's day, who think they belong to Yahweh and therefore don't need to change their manner of life, but in reality do not belong to him? Do you really love Yah'shuah? Do you really understand Yah'shuah's word? Do you really believe Yah'shuah when he speaks Yahweh's words?

Why are you still barren, yet you profess to follow Christ and desire a child? Why are you still barren, yet you have asked Yahweh to give you a child? If you believe that Yahweh answers prayers that he give good things to those who ask him, why haven't you received your good thing - your child? Could it really be that you need to change from the way of iniquities and transgressions and turn faithfully and fully to Yahweh that he may heal you? And once healed, will you not see your good gift - your child as given you by Yahweh?
