Are You A Single Christian?
Are you a spinster, a bachelor, divorced or widowed? Do you desire to be married? Have you prayed to the Almighty, Yahweh, to give you a marriage partner but have yet to receive your marriage partner? Are you wondering why Yahweh has not yet given you your marriage partner?
When Hagar and Ishmael were weak with thirst in the wilderness, with Ishmael near unto death, what did Yahweh do to Hagar? Did he not open her eyes to see the well of water that was all along within their vicinity? Did not Hagar then give Ishmael water from the well to drink (Genesis 21:14-20)?
When Elisha's servant was in despair upon finding that a great host with horses and chariots surrounded their city, what did Elisha do? Did he not pray that Yahweh open the eyes of his servant that the servant may see? And when Yahweh opened the eyes of the servant did not the servant see the mountain full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha (2 Kings 6:14-17)?
Has Yahweh already supplied your need - your marriage partner - but your eyes have not yet been opened to perceive your marriage partner? Do you believe that Yahweh supplies the needs of his people, even as he supplied Ishmael and Elisha with their needs? Do you believe that Yahweh has supplied your need - a marriage partner?
Did not Christ, Yah'shuah (Jesus), speak the following words in Matthew 7:7-11?
7:7
"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you. 7:8For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. 7:9Or what man is there of you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 7:10Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent? 7:11If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!Do you want Yahweh to open your eyes that you may see the good gift he has given you, even as he opened Hagar and Elisha's servant's eyes?
Matthew 13:10-17 reads,
13:10
The disciples came, and said to him, "Why do you speak to them in parables?"13:11
He answered them, "To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them. 13:12For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance, but whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he has. 13:13Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don’t see, and hearing, they don’t hear, neither do they understand. 13:14In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says,‘By hearing you will hear,
And will in no way understand;
Seeing you will see,
And will in no way perceive:
13:15
For this people’s heart has grown callous,Or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes,
Hear with their ears,
Understand with their heart,
And should turn again;
And I would heal them.’
13:16
"But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. 13:17For most assuredly I tell you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which you see, and didn’t see them; and to hear the things which you hear, and didn’t hear them.Is not the reason you are not perceiving with your eyes, or hearing with your ears or understanding with your heart, as seen in Matthew 13:15, your need to turn again to Yahweh that he may heal you? Do you accept that you need to be healed by Yahweh, that you may see and hear and understand? Do you want to be among the blessed, whose eyes see and ears hear, as seen in Matthew 13:16?
Or do you feel that you are already among the blessed, whose eyes see and ears hear? If you are already among the blessed, why are you still single, yet you have prayed to Yahweh for a marriage partner? Is it that Yahweh who supplies good things to those who ask him has not supplied your need - a message in conflict with Matthew 7:7-11? Or is it that you may indeed be blind and deaf after all, Yahweh having supplied your need but you're not perceiving it?
John 8:41-47 reads,
They said to him, "We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father, God."
8:42
Therefore Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came out and have come from God. For neither have I come of myself, but he sent me. 8:43Why don’t you understand my speech? Because you can’t hear my word. 8:44You are of your Father, the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and the father of it. 8:45But because I tell the truth, you don’t believe me. 8:46Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me? 8:47He who is of God hears the words of God. For this cause you don’t hear, because you are not of God."Are you like the Jews of Yah'shuah's day, who think they belong to Yahweh, but in reality do not belong to him? Do you really understand Yah'shuah's word? Do you really believe Yah'shuah when he speaks Yahweh's words?
Why are you still single, yet you profess to follow Christ and desire a marriage partner? Why are you still single, yet you have asked Yahweh to give you a marriage partner? If you believe that Yahweh answers prayers that he give good things to those who ask him, why haven't you received your good thing - your marriage partner? Could it really be that your eyes have been blinded and your ears dulled? Could it really be that you need to turn again to Yahweh that he may heal you, that you may see and hear? And once healed, seeing and hearing, will you not see your good gift - your marriage partner as given you by Yahweh?
