Those In The
Resurrection Of Life Do Not Marry
Matthew 22:23-33 reads,
22:23On
that day Sadducees (those who say that there is no resurrection) came to
him. They asked him, 22:24saying,
"Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies, having no children, his brother
shall marry his wife, and raise up seed for his brother.’ 22:25Now there were with us seven brothers. The
first married and died, and having no seed left his wife to his brother. 22:26In like manner the second also, and the
third, to the seventh. 22:27After
them all, the woman died. 22:28In
the resurrection therefore, whose wife will she be of the seven? For they all
had her."
22:29But
Jesus answered them, "You are mistaken, not
knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God. 22:30For in the
resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like God’s
angels in heaven. 22:31But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read
that which was spoken to you by God, saying, 22:32‘I am the God of
Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ God is not the God of the
dead, but of the living."
22:33When
the multitudes heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.
The False Teaching Of
Marrying In The Resurrection Of Life
There was a teaching or belief during Yah'shuah's time to the effect that a marriage survived not only this age when those married are alive, but also in the age of the resurrection, after their deaths and raising back to life.
In an effort to disprove this teaching the Sadducees relied on the fact that it is impossible for a woman to be lawfully married to more than one person at a time. In the resurrection all to be resurrected will be alive at the same time. If a marriage survives to the age of the resurrection then a woman who in her lifetime had had more than one husband sequentially would be in a situation of having more than one husband contemporaneously, and thereby breaching the law. The Sadducees therefore concluded that as the law cannot be breached it must be the case that there is no resurrection.
But their conclusion ignored scriptures such as Isaiah 26:19 which clearly speak of a resurrection. For had they acknowledged the certainty of a resurrection they would have concluded, correctly, that the teaching they had come across was wrong. For they would have concluded that marriages in the current age do not survive to the age of the resurrection, and therefore terminate with death during this age.
Also, by taking note of Yahweh's miracles through Elijah and Elisha, whereby he raised two boys from death to life, they would indeed have acknowledged Yahweh's power. And by further taking note that Yahweh created man from the dust of the ground they would indeed have acknowledged Yahweh's life creating power.
But they did not acknowledge Yahweh's power nor believe his word.
Those Prophesied To Be
In The Resurrection Of Life
Yah'shuah's words in 22:31-32 indicate to us those whom Yahweh will raise to life in the resurrection, including Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. All those whom Yahweh has said that he is their Mighty One will indeed be in the resurrection together with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Who are these that Yahweh has said that he is indeed their Mighty One?
Genesis 9:24-27 reads,
9:24Noah
awoke from his wine, and knew what his youngest son had done to him. 9:25He said,
"Cursed be
A servant of servants will he be to his
brothers."
9:26He
said,
"Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Shem;

24:12He
said, "Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, please give me success
this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham. 24:13Behold,
I am standing by the spring of water. The daughters of the men of the city are
coming out to draw water. 24:14Let
it happen, that the young lady to whom I will say, ‘Please let down your
pitcher, that I may drink.’ She will say, ‘Drink, and I will also give your
camels a drink.’ Let the same be she who you have appointed for your servant
Isaac. Thereby will I know that you have shown kindness to my master."
Genesis 26:24 reads,
26:24Yahweh
appeared to him [Isaac] the same night, and said, "I am the God of
Abraham your father. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you, and will bless
you, and multiply your seed for my servant Abraham’s sake."
Genesis 28:10-15 reads,
28:10Jacob
went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran. 28:11He
came to a certain place, and stayed there all night, because the sun had set.
He took one of the stones of the place, and put it under his head, and lay down
in that place to sleep. 28:12He
dreamed. Behold, a stairway set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven.
Behold, the angels of God ascending and descending on it. 28:13Behold, Yahweh stood above it, and said,
"I am Yahweh, the God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac.
The land whereon you lie, to you will I give it, and to your seed. 28:14Your seed will be as the dust of the
earth, and you will spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the
north, and to the south. In you and in your seed will all the families of the
earth be blessed. 28:15Behold, I am
with you, and will keep you, wherever you go, and will bring you again into
this land. For I will not leave you, until I have done that which I have spoken
of to you."
Exodus 3:5-6 reads,
3:5He
said, "Don’t come close. Take off your sandals from off your feet, for the
place you are standing on is holy ground." 3:6Moreover
he said, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of
Isaac, and the God of Jacob."
Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look
at God.
Exodus 3:18 reads,
3:18They
will listen to your voice, and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to
the king of Egypt, and you shall tell him, ‘Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews,
has met with us. Now please let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness,
that we may sacrifice to Yahweh, our God.’

5:1Afterward
Moses and Aaron came, and said to Pharaoh, "This is what Yahweh, the
God of Israel, says, ‘Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in
the wilderness.’"

16:22They
fell on their faces, and said, God, the God of the spirits of all flesh,
shall one man sin, and will you be angry with all the congregation?
Deuteronomy 10:17 reads,
10:17For
Yahweh your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God,
the mighty, and the awesome, who doesn’t regard persons, nor takes reward.
2 Kings 2:14 reads,
2:14He
took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and struck the waters, and said,
Where is Yahweh, the God of Elijah? and when he also had struck the waters,
they were divided here and there; and Elisha went over.
2 Kings 20:4-6 reads,
20:4It
happened, before Isaiah was gone out into the middle part of the city, that the
word of Yahweh came to him, saying, 20:5Turn
back, and tell Hezekiah the prince of my people, Thus says Yahweh, the God
of David your father, I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears:
behold, I will heal you; on the third day you shall go up to the house of
Yahweh. 20:6I will add to your days
fifteen years; and I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king
of Assyria; and I will defend this city for my own sake, and for my servant
David’s sake.
Isaiah 54:5 reads,
54:5For
your Maker is your husband; Yahweh of Hosts is his name: and the Holy One of
Israel is your Redeemer; the God of the whole earth shall he be called.
Jeremiah 31:1 reads,
31:1At
that time, says Yahweh, will I be the God of all the families of Israel,
and they shall be my people.
Jeremiah 32:27 reads,
32:27Behold,
I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?
Daniel 3:28-29 reads,
3:28Nebuchadnezzar
spoke and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego,
who has sent his angel, and delivered his servants who trusted in him, and have
changed the king’s word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not
serve nor worship any god, except their own God. 3:29Therefore
I make a decree, that every people, nation, and language, which speak anything
amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, shall be cut
in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill; because there is no other
god who is able to deliver after this sort.
Daniel 6:26-27 reads,
6:26I
make a decree, that in all the dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear
before the God of Daniel; for he is the living God, and steadfast
forever, His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed; and his dominion shall
be even to the end. 6:27He delivers
and rescues, and he works signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who has
delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
Romans 3:29-30 reads,
3:29Or
is God the God of Jews only? Isn’t he the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of
Gentiles also, 3:30since
indeed there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith, and the uncircumcised
through faith.
Ephesians 1:15-20 reads,
1:15For
this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among
you, and the love which you have toward all the saints, 1:16don’t cease to give thanks for you, making
mention of you in my prayers, 1:17that
the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a
spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; 1:18having the eyes of your hearts enlightened,
that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of
the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 1:19and
what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according
to that working of the strength of his might 1:20which
he worked in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at
his right hand in the heavenly places, 1:21far
above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is
named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.
Revelation 22:6 reads,
22:6He
said to me, "These words are faithful and true. The Lord, the God of
the spirits of the prophets, sent his angels to show to his servants the
things which must happen soon."
Those that Yahweh has said he is their Mighty One include: Shem, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, the Hebrews, Israel, the spirits of all flesh, gods, Elijah, David, the whole earth, all of the families of Israel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Daniel, the nations, Yah'shuah the Christ and the spirits of the prophets. These will indeed be raised to life, except Christ who has already been raised to life.
There Is A Resurrection
Of The Dead
Mark 12:18-27 reads,
12:18There
came to him Sadducees, who say that there is no resurrection. They asked
him, saying, 12:19"Teacher,
Moses wrote to us, ‘If a man’s brother dies, and leaves a wife behind him, and
leaves no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up
offspring for his brother.’ 12:20There
were seven brothers. The first took a wife, and dying left no offspring. 12:21The second took her, and died, leaving no
children behind him. The third likewise; 12:22and
the seven took her and left no children. Last of all the woman also died. 12:23In the resurrection, when they rise,
whose wife will she be of them? For the seven had her as a wife."
12:24Jesus
answered them, "Isn’t this because you are
mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God? 12:25For when they will
rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like
angels in heaven. 12:26But about the dead, that they are raised; haven’t you read in
the book of Moses, at the Bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of
Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ 12:27He is not the God
of the dead, but of the living. You are therefore badly mistaken."
Luke 20:27-38 reads,
20:27Some
of the Sadducees came to him, those who deny that there is a resurrection.
20:28They asked him, "Teacher,
Moses wrote to us that if a man’s brother dies having a wife, and he is
childless, his brother should take the wife, and raise up children for his
brother. 20:29There were therefore
seven brothers. The first took a wife, and died childless. 20:30The second took her as wife, and he died
childless. 20:31The third took her,
and likewise the seven all left no children, and died. 20:32Afterward the woman also died. 20:33Therefore in the resurrection whose
wife of them will she be? For the seven had her as a wife."
20:34Jesus
said to them, "The sons of this age marry, and
are given in marriage. 20:35But those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and
the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage. 20:36For neither can
they die any more, for they are like the angels, and are sons of God, being
sons of the resurrection. 20:37But that the dead
are raised, even Moses showed at the bush, when he called the Lord ‘The God of
Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ 20:38Now he is not the
God of the dead, but of the living, for all are alive to him."
20:34 notes that the age in which we are currently living in is an age where people marry and are given in marriage. This is the age that commenced with man's creation and is still continuing.
Not Everyone Is
Considered Worthy To Attain To "That Age And The Resurrection From The
Dead"
20:35 implies that NOT EVERYONE will be considered worthy to attain to "that age and the resurrection from the dead". Showing that the "age and the resurrection from the dead" that Yah'shuah spoke about is not one that is available to all human beings who have ever lived!
Why Those
"Considered Worthy To Attain To That Age And The Resurrection From The
Dead" Do Not Marry
20:36 explains why those "considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage". It is because these selected ones are given IMMORTALITY, no longer being subject to death!
20:36 also implies that those subject to death can indeed marry and be given in marriage, showing that marriage is for mortals, while immortals do not have marriage. Seeing that marriage is for mortals, and seeing that some who are raised to life are raised to a mortal life, still subject to death, is it the case that all dead who are raised to a mortal life can still marry and be given in marriage? I am inclined to think that all dead who are raised to mortal life, still being subject to death, can indeed marry and be given in marriage. The only dead who are raised to life who do not marry are those no longer subject to death, those given immortality. And those given immortality are only those considered worthy to attain to it, implying that there are others not considered worthy to attain to it.
Yah'shuah Prophesied
Publicly That He Would Rise From The Dead
Matthew 27:62-66 reads,
27:62Now
on the next day, which is the day after the Preparation, the chief priests and
the Pharisees were gathered together to Pilate, 27:63saying,
"Sir, we remember what that deceiver said while he was still alive: ‘After
three days I will rise again.’ 27:64Command
therefore that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest perhaps his
disciples come at night and steal him away, and tell the people, ‘He is
risen from the dead;’ and the last deception will be worse than the
first."
27:65Pilate
said to them, "You have a guard. Go, make it as secure as you can." 27:66So they went, and made the tomb secure,
sealing the stone, the guard being with them.
The chief priests and the Pharisees clearly understood that Yah'shuah said that he would indeed rise again from the dead after three days. Yah'shuah therefore unmistakably teaches the resurrection of the dead.
Matthew 28:5-7 reads,
28:5The
angel answered the women, "Don’t be afraid, for I know that you seek
Jesus, who has been crucified. 28:6He
is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where
the Lord was lying. 28:7Go quickly
and tell his disciples, ‘He has risen from the dead, and behold, he goes
before you into Galilee; there you will see him.’ Behold, I have told
you."
Luke 24:1-10 reads,
24:1But
on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they and some others came to the
tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared. 24:2They found the stone rolled away from the tomb. 24:3They entered in, and didn’t find the Lord
Jesus’ body. 24:4It happened, while
they were greatly perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in
dazzling clothing. 24:5Becoming
terrified, they bowed their faces down to the earth.
They said to them, "Why do you seek
the living among the dead? 24:6He
isn’t here, but is risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in
Galilee, 24:7saying that the Son of
Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and
the third day rise again?"
24:8They
remembered his words, 24:9returned
from the tomb, and told all these things to the eleven, and to all the rest. 24:10Now they were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and
Mary the mother of James. The other women with them told these things to the
apostles.
What Happens To Humans
When They Die?
Luke 16:19-31 reads,
16:19"Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in
purple and fine linen, living in luxury every day. 16:20A certain beggar,
named Lazarus, was laid at his gate, full of sores, 16:21and desiring to be
fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table. Yes, even the dogs
came and licked his sores. 16:22It happened that the beggar died, and that he was carried away
by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died, and was buried. 16:23In Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham
far off, and Lazarus at his bosom. 16:24He cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and
send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my
tongue! For I am in anguish in this flame.’
16:25"But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that you, in your
lifetime, received your good things, and Lazarus, in like manner, bad
things. But now here he is comforted and you are in anguish. 16:26Besides all this,
between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, that those who want to pass
from here to you are not able, and that none may cross over from there to us.’
16:27"He said, ‘I ask you therefore, father, that you would
send him to my father’s house; 16:28for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest
they also come into this place of torment.’
16:29"But Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the
prophets. Let them listen to them.’
16:30"He said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if one goes to
them from the dead, they will repent.’
16:31"He said to him, ‘If they don’t listen to Moses and the
prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.’"
Yah'shuah's parable of Lazarus and the rich man talks about what happens when a person dies at the present point in time and goes to the dead.
Where The Spirits Of The
Dead Go At Death
16:22 talks about dead Lazarus being carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom, but does not talk the same concerning the rich man, saying only that he was buried. Seeing that the bodies of those who die on earth remain on earth, it appears that Lazarus' body also remained on earth, just as the rich man's body. It therefore appears that it was Lazarus' spirit that went to Abraham's bosom, and not his body.
It also appears that Abraham's bosom is a place that the spirits of the dead have to be taken by angels, implying that the spirit of a dead person cannot simply go there of its own accord.
The Spirits Of Some Dead
People Are Currently In Torment
16:23 notes that the rich man was in Hades, implying that it was his spirit that was in Hades. In Hades he was in torment.
Considering that the time period of this parable is when people are still living on earth as flesh and blood, seeing that dogs licked Lazarus' sores while he was alive, it appears that some dead people in Hades are CURRENTLY in torment! In other words, the spirits of some dead people are currently in Hades and in torment.
Those Spirits Of The
Dead In Abraham's Bosom Are Not In Torment
16:23 also shows that those in Hades, and in torment, are able to see those in Abraham's bosom, who are quite far off from those in torment in Hades. If Hades is the place that all spirits of the dead go, then it is divided into a portion where some are in torment, and another portion called Abraham's bosom, where those in Abraham's bosom are not in torment. Alternatively Hades may a place totally different from Abraham's bosom, with those in Hades being tormented, and those in Abraham's bosom not being tormented. Either way, those in Abraham's bosom are not in torment, while those not there are!
The Nature Of The
Current Torment In Hades
16:24 describes the nature of the torment in Hades. It is a flame that afflicts the tongue of the spirit of the dead, causing great anguish!
Abraham's Bosom Is A
Place Of Comfort
16:25 shows that Abraham's bosom is a place for comfort, while outside there is a place for anguish.
16:26 shows that while those in Abraham's bosom can see those outside it, and vice versa, neither can cross over to the other place. Also, entry into Abraham's bosom is facilitated by angels carrying one there. As it is implied that these angels are Yahweh's angels, it is understood that only those Yahweh places in Abraham's bosom go there and receive comfort.
16:28 reiterates that in Hades, outside Abraham's bosom, is a place of torment
The Place Of Torment In
Hades Is For The Unrepentant
16:30 implies that those who go to the place of torment in Hades are those who do not repent. Seeing that the place of torment in Hades is for those who do not repent, it is implied that Abraham's bosom is for the righteous, those who have repented of their sins.
It Is Possible For A
Dead Person To Be Raised To Life As A Human Being
16:27-31 indicates that it is indeed possible for a person who has died to be raised from the dead and given life again in the flesh.
Listen To Yahweh's
Words, Irrespective Of Who Speaks Them
Abraham's comments are also very instructive. Human beings either listen or don't listen to Yahweh's words. It makes no different whether the person carrying Yahweh's words to them is a prophet of Yahweh or a person who has been raised from the dead. If they will listen to Yahweh's words they will listen irrespective of whoever bears Yahweh's words. And if they will not listen they will not listen irrespective of whoever bears Yahweh's words. The key thing to note is that it is Yahweh's words that are at issue, not the messenger bearing Yahweh's words.
Repent And Live
Righteously To Go To Abraham's Bosom
Summing up, it appears that the spirits of the dead go either to Abraham's bosom or to the place of torment in Hades. In Abraham's bosom are the spirits of the righteous dead. In the place of torment in Hades are the spirits of the unrepentant dead. Therefore, to avoid going to the place of torment in Hades when one dies, and to go to the place of comfort in Abraham's bosom, one should repent of one's sins and live righteously.
Christ Had To Suffer And
Rise From The Dead
Luke 24:45-53 reads,
24:45Then
he opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures. 24:46He said to them, "Thus
it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise
from the dead the third day, 24:47and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached
in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 24:48You are witnesses
of these things. 24:49Behold, I send forth the promise of my Father on you. But
wait in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on
high."
24:50He
led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed
them. 24:51It happened, while he
blessed them, that he withdrew from them, and was carried up into heaven. 24:52They worshiped him, and returned to
Jerusalem with great joy, 24:53and
were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
Yah'shuah Prophesied Of
His Death And Resurrection
John 2:12-22 reads,
2:12After
this, he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, his brothers, and his
disciples; and there they stayed not many days. 2:13The
Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 2:14He found in the temple those who sold oxen,
sheep, and doves, and the changers of money sitting. 2:15He made a whip of cords, and threw all out
of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers’
money, and overthrew their tables. 2:16To
those who sold the doves, he said, "Take these things
out of here! Don’t make my Father’s house a marketplace!" 2:17His disciples remembered that it was
written, "Zeal for your house will eat me up."
2:18The
Jews therefore answered him, "What sign do you show to us, seeing that you
do these things?"
2:19Jesus
answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in
three days I will raise it up."
2:20The
Jews therefore said, "Forty-six years was this temple in building, and
will you raise it up in three days?" 2:21But
he spoke of the temple of his body. 2:22When
therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he said
this, and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
All Who Are Dead Will
Live Again
John 5:19-30 reads,
5:19Jesus
therefore answered them, "Most assuredly, I tell
you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father doing. For
whatever things he does, these the Son also does likewise. 5:20For the Father has
affection for the Son, and shows him all things that he himself does. He will
show him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 5:21For as the
Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to
whom he desires. 5:22For neither does the Father judge any man, but he has given
all judgment to the Son, 5:23that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He
who doesn’t honor the Son doesn’t honor the Father who sent him.
5:24"Most assuredly I tell you, he who hears my word, and
believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn’t come into judgment, but
has passed out of death into life. 5:25Most assuredly, I tell you, the hour comes, and now is, when
the dead will hear the Son of God’s voice; and those who hear will live. 5:26For as the Father
has life in himself, even so he gave to the Son also to have life in himself. 5:27He also gave him authority to execute judgment, because he is
a son of man. 5:28Don’t marvel at this, for the hour comes, in which all that
are in the tombs will hear his voice, 5:29and will come out; those who have done good, to the
resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of
judgment. 5:30I can of myself do
nothing. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is righteous; because I don’t seek
my own will, but the will of my Father who sent me.
Yah'shuah Has Power And
Authority To Raise The Dead To Life
5:21 shows that Yah'shuah also has authority and power to raise the dead and give them life. And the reason why he has authority and power to raise the dead and give them life is that the Father has given him life in himself, as 5:26 shows. There are therefore two entities possessing life in themselves, the Father and the Son.
Not All Humans Will Come
Into The Judgement
Yah'shuah's words in 5:24 show that those humans who already have eternal life do not come into judgement, but are no longer subject to death, having passed out of it. And these who have eternal life are those who receive his word and believe his Father, the one who sent him.
Those Who Come Into
Judgement Are Still Subject To Death
5:24 therefore implies that those who come into judgement are still subject to death, and that the only people who are not subject to death are those who have passed out of death into life.
There Are Two Distinct
Resurrections
5:28-29 makes clear that there are two resurrections, the resurrection of life and the resurrection of judgement. The resurrection of life is the resurrection for those who have eternal life, those who have passed out of death into life. This is the resurrection for those who do not marry, but those who are in that resurrection made immortal. This is the resurrection of those who have repented, have received Yah'shuah's words and have believed Yah'shuah's Father, Yahweh. The resurrection of judgement is the resurrection for those who have not repented, who have not received Yah'shuah's words and have not believed Yah'shuah's Father, Yahweh. Those in this resurrection are still subject to death, for they have not yet passed out of death into life.
Why Does Yahweh Raise
The Dead?
For what purpose or purposes does Yahweh raise the dead, some to the resurrection of life and others to the resurrection of judgement?
Seeing that those raised to life in the resurrection of life live forever it appears that those raised to life in the resurrection of judgement are judged during the time of their life that they have been raised to live. How will these in the resurrection of judgement be judged? On what basis and for what purpose?
