Why Do Immortal Beings
Eat Food?
Psalm 78:23-25 reads,
78:23Yet
he commanded the skies above,
And opened the doors of heaven.
78:24He
rained down manna on them to eat,
And gave them food from the sky.
78:25Man
ate the bread of angels.
He sent them food to the full.
It appears that angels eat food.
Why do angels eat food, seeing that they can survive without eating food? Why do immortal beings eat food when they can survive without eating it?
Physical Objects Have No
Power Over The Bodies Of Those In The Resurrection Of Life
Daniel 3:16-30 reads,
3:16Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abed-nego answered the king, Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to
answer you in this matter. 3:17If it
be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery
furnace; and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. 3:18But if not, be it known to you, O king,
that we will not serve your gods, nor worship the golden image which you have
set up. 3:19Then was Nebuchadnezzar
full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach,
and Abed-nego: therefore he spoke, and commanded that they should heat the
furnace seven times more than it was wont to be heated. 3:20He commanded certain mighty men who were in
his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, and to cast them into the
burning fiery furnace. 3:21Then
these men were bound in their pants, their tunics, and their mantles, and their
other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. 3:22Therefore because the king’s commandment
was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire killed those
men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. 3:23These
three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of
the burning fiery furnace.
3:24Then
Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste: he spoke and said
to his counselors, Didn’t we cast three men bound into the midst of the
fire? They answered the king, True, O king. 3:25He
answered, Look, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and
they have no hurt; and the aspect of the fourth is like a son of the gods. 3:26Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth
of the burning fiery furnace: he spoke and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and
Abed-nego, you servants of the Most High God, come forth, and come here. Then
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego came forth out of the midst of the fire. 3:27The satraps, the deputies, and the
governors, and the king’s counselors, being gathered together, saw these men,
that the fire had no power on their bodies, nor was the hair of their head
singed, neither were their pants changed, nor had the smell of fire passed on
them. 3:28Nebuchadnezzar spoke
and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who has
sent his angel, and delivered his servants who trusted in him, and have
changed the king’s word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not
serve nor worship any god, except their own God. 3:29Therefore
I make a decree, that every people, nation, and language, which speak anything
amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, shall be cut in
pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill; because there is no other
god who is able to deliver after this sort. 3:30Then
the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego in the
Various earthly elements with power of destruction have no power over the bodies of those in the resurrection of life. For just as the fire had no power over the body of the angel, so also does fire have no power over the bodies of those in the resurrection of life.
Those In The
Resurrection Of Life Can Appear To Humans In The Latter's Dreams
Matthew 1:20, 24-25 reads,
1:20But
when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to
him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take
to yourself Mary, your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy
Spirit.
1:24Joseph
arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him,
and took his wife to himself; 1:25and
didn’t know her sexually until she had brought forth her firstborn son. He
named him Jesus.
It appears that those in the resurrection of life will be able to appear to humans in their dreams as they sleep!
Matthew 2:13-15 reads,
2:13Now
when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a

Matthew 2:19-23 reads,
2:19But
when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to
Joseph in Egypt, saying, 2:20"Arise
and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel, for
those who sought the young child’s life are dead."

Those In The
Resurrection Of Life See The Father's Face
Matthew 18:10 reads,
18:10See that you don’t despise one of these little ones, for I
tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is
in heaven.
It appears that those in the resurrection of life will indeed be seeing the face of Father Yahweh.
Those In The Resurrection
Of Life Can Appear In Great Glory
Matthew 28:2-7 reads,
28:2Behold,
there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from the sky,
and came and rolled away the stone from the door, and sat on it. 28:3His appearance was like lightning, and his
clothing white as snow. 28:4For
fear of him, the guards shook, and became like dead men. 28:5The angel answered the women, "Don’t
be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus, who has been crucified. 28:6He is not here, for he has risen, just like
he said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying. 28:7Go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has
risen from the dead, and behold, he goes before you into
Luke 1:11-20 reads,
1:11An
angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of
incense. 1:12Zacharias
was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell on him. 1:13But the angel said to him, "Don’t be
afraid, Zacharias, because your request has been heard, and your wife, Elizabeth,
will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 1:14You will have joy and gladness; and many
will rejoice at his birth. 1:15For
he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he will drink no wine nor strong
drink. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb. 1:16He will turn many of the children of
1:18Zacharias

wife is well advanced in years."
1:19The
angel answered him, "I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God.
I was sent to speak to you, and to bring you this good news. 1:20Behold, you will be silent and not able to
speak, until the day that these things will happen, because you didn’t believe my
words, which will be fulfilled in their proper time."
Luke 2:8-20 reads,
2:8There
were shepherds in the same country staying in the field, and keeping watch by
night over their flock. 2:9Behold,
an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord shone around
them, and they were terrified. 2:10The
angel said to them, "Don’t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of
great joy which will be to all the people. 2:11For

Those In The
Resurrection Of Life Can Facilitate Physical Healing Of Humans
John 5:3-4 reads,
5:3In
these lay a great multitude of those who were sick, blind, lame, or paralyzed,
waiting for the moving of the water; 5:4for
an angel of the Lord went down at certain times into the pool, and stirred
up the water. Whoever stepped in first after the stirring of the water was
made whole of whatever disease he was afflicted with.
John 20:11-13 reads,
20:11But
Mary was standing outside at the tomb weeping. So, as she wept, she stooped and
looked into the tomb, 20:12and she
saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head, and one at the feet, where
the body of Jesus had lain. 20:13They
told her, "Woman, why are you weeping?"
She said to them, "Because they have
taken away my Lord, and I don’t know where they have laid him."
Those In The
Resurrection Of Life Have Power To Defy Physical Laws
Acts 5:17-20 reads,
5:17But
the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him (which is the sect of
the Sadducees), and they were filled with jealousy, 5:18and laid hands on the apostles, and put
them in public custody. 5:19But an
angel of the Lord opened the prison doors by night, and brought them out, and
said, 5:20"Go stand and
speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life."
Physical obstacles are not a hindrance to angels or those of the resurrection of life.
Acts 6:15 reads,
6:15All
who sat in the council, fastening their eyes on him, saw his face like it
was the face of an angel.
Acts 7:30-34 reads,
7:30"When
forty years were fulfilled, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in the
wilderness of Mount Sinai, in a flame of fire in a bush. 7:31When Moses saw it, he wondered at the
sight. As he came close to see, a voice of the Lord came to him, 7:32‘I am the God of your fathers, the God of
Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ Moses trembled, and dared
not look. 7:33The Lord said to him,
‘Take your sandals off of your feet, for the place where you stand is holy
ground. 7:34I have surely seen the
affliction of my people that is in Egypt, and have heard their groaning. I have
come down to deliver them. Now come, I will send you into Egypt.’
Those In The
Resurrection Of Life Can Appear To Humans In Visions
Acts 10:3-8 reads,
10:3At
about the ninth hour of the day, he clearly
saw in a vision an angel of God coming to him, and saying to him,
"Cornelius!"
10:4He,
fastening his eyes on him, and being frightened, said, "What is it,
Lord?"
He said to him, "Your prayers and your
gifts to the needy have gone up for a memorial before God. 10:5Now send men to Joppa, and get Simon, who
is surnamed Peter. 10:6He lodges
with one Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the seaside."
10:7When
the angel who spoke to him had departed, Cornelius called two of his household
servants and a devout soldier of those who waited on him continually. 10:8Having explained everything to them, he
sent them to Joppa.
Acts 11:13-14 reads,
11:13He
told us how he had seen the angel standing in his house, and saying to
him, ‘Send to Joppa, and get Simon, whose surname is Peter, 11:14who will speak to you words whereby you
will be saved, you and all your house.’
Acts 12:6-11 reads,
12:6The
same night when Herod was about to bring him out, Peter was sleeping between
two soldiers, bound with two chains. Guards in front of the door kept the
prison.
12:7Behold,
an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck
Peter on the side, and woke him up, saying, "Stand up quickly!" His
chains fell off from his hands. 12:8The
angel said to him, "Put on your clothes, and tie on your sandals." He
did so. He said to him, "Put on your cloak, and follow me." 12:9He went out, and followed him. He didn’t
know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he saw a vision. 12:10When they were past the first and the
second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened
to them by itself. They went out, and passed on through one street, and
immediately the angel departed from him.
12:11When
Peter had come to himself, he said, "Now I truly know that the Lord has
sent out his angel and delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from
everything the Jewish people were expecting."
Acts 27:21-26 reads,
27:21When
they had been long without food, Paul stood up in the midst of them, and said,
"Sirs, you should have listened to me, and not have set sail from Crete,
and have gotten this injury and loss. 27:22Now
I exhort you to cheer up, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only
of the ship. 27:23For there stood
by me this night an angel, belonging to the God whose I am and whom I serve,
27:24saying, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul.
You must stand before Caesar. Behold, God has granted you all those who sail
with you.’ 27:25Therefore, sirs,
cheer up! For I believe God, that it will be just as it has been spoken to me. 27:26But we must run aground on a certain
island."
The Body Apart From The
Spirit Is Dead
James 2:26 reads,
2:26For
as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from
works is dead.
1 Peter 1:3-5 reads,
1:3Blessed
be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great
mercy became the father of us again to a living hope by the resurrection of
Jesus Christ from the dead, 1:4to
an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance, and that doesn’t fade away,
reserved in heaven for you, 1:5who
by the power of God are guarded through faith to a salvation ready to be
revealed in the last time.
1 Peter 1:17-21 reads,
1:17If
you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to
each man’s work, pass the time of your living as strangers here in reverent
fear: 1:18knowing that you were
redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from the useless
way of life handed down from your fathers, 1:19but
with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, the blood of Christ; 1:20who was foreknown indeed before the
foundation of the world, but was revealed at the end of times for your sake, 1:21who through him are believers in God,
that raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; so that your faith and
hope might be in God.
Yah'shuah The Firstborn
Of The Dead To The Resurrection Of Life
Revelation 1:4-6 reads,
1:4John,
to the seven assemblies that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from God, who
is and who was and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits who are before
his throne; 1:5and from Jesus
Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of
the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and washed us from our sins by his
blood; 1:6and he made us to be a
kingdom, priests to his God and Father; to him be the glory and the dominion
forever and ever. Amen.
Revelation 1:17-18 reads,
1:17When
I saw him, I fell at his feet like a dead man. He laid his right hand on me,
saying, "Don’t be afraid. I am the first and
the last, 1:18and the Living one. I was dead, and behold, I am alive
forevermore. Amen. I have the keys of Death
and of Hades.
Revelation 2:8 reads,
2:8"To the angel of the assembly in Smyrna write:
"The first and
the last, who was dead, and has come to life says these things:
Yahweh's Two Witnesses
Will Be Raised To Life From The Dead
Revelation 11:8-12 reads,
11:8Their
dead bodies will be in the street of the great city, which spiritually is
called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. 11:9From among the peoples, tribes, languages,
and nations will people look at their dead bodies for three and a half days,
and will not allow their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb. 11:10Those who dwell on the earth will rejoice
over them, and make merry. They will send gifts to one another, because these
two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth. 11:11After the three and a half days, the
breath of life from God entered into them, and they stood on their feet. Great
fear fell on those who saw them. 11:12I
heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here!" They
went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies saw them.
Revelation 20:4-6 reads,
20:4I
saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. I saw the
souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the
word of God, and such as didn’t worship the beast nor his image, and didn’t
receive the mark on their forehead and on their hand. They lived, and reigned
with Christ one thousand years. 20:5The
rest of the dead didn’t live until the thousand years were finished. This is
the first resurrection. 20:6Blessed
and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over these, the second
death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will
reign with him one thousand years.
Revelation 20:11-15 reads,
20:11I
saw a great white throne, and him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and
the heaven fled away. There was found no place for them. 20:12I saw the dead, the great and the small,
standing before the throne. Books were opened. Another book was opened, which
is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written
in the books, according to their works. 20:13The
sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were
in them. They were judged, each one according to his works. 20:14Death and Hades were thrown into the lake
of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 20:15If anyone was not found written in the
book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
That there is a second death implies that there is a second life. The dead standing before the throne are those of the resurrection of judgement. These are still subject to death, as only those of the first resurrection are not subject to death.
Not All In The
Resurrection Of Judgement Will Undergo The Second Death
Not all in the resurrection of judgement will undergo the second death. Only those whose names are not found in the book of life will undergo the second death, implying that others in the resurrection of judgement will indeed be made immortal, even as those in the resurrection of life.
Those In The
Resurrection Of Judgement Will Have Opportunity To Repent And Believe In
Yah'shuah
Yah'shuah's words in 5:28-29 show that those who do evil will be raised to life in the resurrection of judgement. Seeing that those made immortal are those who do good, it appears that during the judgement period the dead raised to life will indeed have an opportunity to repent of their evil and believe in Yah'shuah as the Christ, doing his will. And those who live righteous lives in the judgement will indeed be made immortal, no longer subject to death. For after the lake the fire, the second death, death will have disappeared, implying no one alive after that stage will be subject to death.
It therefore appears that those who do not go good in their first lives as human beings are prolonging the time for their being made immortal, if indeed they will be made immortal. For the earliest time that those who do evil in their first lives but repent in the resurrection of judgement can be made immortal is at least 1,000 years after the resurrection of life.
