Yahweh's Law And Testimony Is Sealed Up Among His Disciples

Isaiah 8:11-20 reads,

8:11For Yahweh spoke thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying, 8:12Don’t you say, "A conspiracy!" concerning all whereof this people shall say, "A conspiracy!" neither fear their fear, nor be in dread of it. 8:13Yahweh of hosts, him shall you sanctify; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. 8:14He shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offense to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 8:15Many shall stumble thereon, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. 8:16Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. 8:17I will wait for Yahweh, who hides his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. 8:18Behold, I and the children whom Yahweh has given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from Yahweh of Hosts, who dwells in Mount Zion. 8:19When they shall tell you, "Consult with those who have familiar spirits and with the wizards, who chirp and who mutter:" shouldn’t a people consult with their God? On behalf of the living should they consult with the dead? 8:20To the law and to the testimony! If they don’t speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them.

Yahweh's word, his testimony and his law, is bound up and sealed among his disciples. It is Yahweh's word that his disciples should consult for truth and light, and not the dead or other entities.

Immediately Follow Yah'shuah When He Calls You To Service

Matthew 4:18-22 reads,

4:18Walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers: Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 4:19He said to them, "Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers for men."

4:20They immediately left their nets and followed him. 4:21Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them. 4:22They immediately left the boat and their father, and followed him.

When Yah'shuah calls any of us to any service, we should immediately leave whatever it is that we are doing and follow Yah'shuah into the service that he has called us to.

What Yah'shuah Taught His Disciples While Up A Mountain

Matthew 5-7 reads,

5:1Seeing the multitudes, he went up onto a mountain. When he had sat down, his disciples came to him. 5:2He opened his mouth and taught them, saying,

5:3"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

5:4Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.

5:5Blessed are the humble,
For they shall inherit the earth.

5:6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness,
For they shall be filled.

5:7Blessed are the merciful,
For they shall obtain mercy.

5:8Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.

5:9Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God.

5:10Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

5:11"Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 5:12Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

5:13"You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men. 5:14You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill can’t be hidden. 5:15Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. 5:16Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

5:17"Don’t think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn’t come to destroy, but to fulfill. 5:18For most assuredly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished. 5:19Whoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments, and teach others to do so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whoever shall do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. 5:20For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, there is no way you will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

5:21"You have heard that it was said to them of old time, ‘You shall not murder;’ and ‘Whoever shall murder shall be in danger of the judgment.’ 5:22But I tell you, that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment; and whoever shall say to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council; and whoever shall say, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of the fire of Gehenna.

5:23"If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, 5:24leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 5:25Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are with him in the way; lest perhaps the prosecutor deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison. 5:26Most assuredly I tell you, you shall by no means get out of there, until you have paid the last penny.

5:27"You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery;’ 5:28but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. 5:29If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and cast it from you. For it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna. 5:30If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from you: for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not your whole body be cast into Gehenna.

5:31"It was also said, ‘Whoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorce,’ 5:32but I tell you that whoever who puts away his wife, except for the cause of sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is put away commits adultery.

5:33"Again you have heard that it was said to them of old time, ‘You shall not make false vows, but shall perform to the Lord your vows,’ 5:34but I tell you, don’t swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God; 5:35nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. 5:36Neither shall you swear by your head, for you can’t make one hair white or black. 5:37But let your speech be, ‘Yes, yes; No, no.’ Whatever is more than these is of the evil one.

5:38"You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’ 5:39But I tell you, don’t resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also. 5:40If any man would go to law with you and take away your coat, let him have your cloak also. 5:41Whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 5:42Give to him who asks you, and don’t turn away him who desires to borrow from you.

5:43"You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.’ 5:44But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 5:45that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust. 5:46For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same? 5:47If you only greet your friends, what more do you do than others? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same? 5:48Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

6:1"Be careful that you don’t do your charitable giving before men, to be seen by them, or else you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven. 6:2Therefore when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most assuredly I tell you, they have received their reward. 6:3But when you do merciful deeds, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does, 6:4so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

6:5"When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most assuredly, I tell you, they have received their reward. 6:6But you, when you pray, enter into your inner chamber, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. 6:7In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. 6:8Therefore don’t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him. 6:9Pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. 6:10May your kingdom come. May your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. 6:11Give us this day our daily bread. 6:12Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. 6:13Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever. Amen.’

6:14"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 6:15But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

6:16"Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most assuredly I tell you, they have received their reward. 6:17But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; 6:18that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.

6:19"Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; 6:20but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; 6:21for where your treasure is, your heart will be there also.

6:22"The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light. 6:23But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

6:24"No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon. 6:25Therefore, I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will put on. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 6:26See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?

6:27"Which of you, by being anxious, can add one cubit to the measure of his life? 6:28Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, 6:29yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. 6:30But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith?

6:31"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?6:32For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 6:33But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be added to you. 6:34Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.

7:1"Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged. 7:2For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you. 7:3Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye? 7:4Or how will you tell your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye;’ and behold, the beam is in your own eye? 7:5You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye.

7:6"Don’t give that which is holy to the dogs, neither cast your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

7:7"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you. 7:8For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. 7:9Or what man is there of you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 7:10Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent? 7:11If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! 7:12Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.

7:13"Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. 7:14How narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it.

7:15"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. 7:16By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? 7:17Even so, every good tree brings forth good fruit; but the corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit. 7:18A good tree can’t bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 7:19Every tree that doesn’t grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire. 7:20Therefore, by their fruits you will know them. 7:21Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 7:22Many will tell me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy by your name, by your name cast out demons, and by your name do many mighty works?’ 7:23Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’

7:24"Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock.7:25The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock. 7:26Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn’t do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand. 7:27The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell — and great was its fall."

7:28It happened, when Jesus had finished saying these things, that the multitudes were astonished at his teaching, 7:29for he taught them with authority, and not like the scribes.

5:1-2 shows that Yah'shuah's disciples should voluntarily go to him that he may teach them.

Luke 6:20-49 reads,

6:20He lifted up his eyes to his disciples, and said,

"Blessed are you poor,
For yours is the kingdom of God.

6:21Blessed are you who hunger now,
For you will be filled.

Blessed are you who weep now,
For you will laugh.

6:22Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from them and reproach you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake.
6:23Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy
, for behold, your reward is great in heaven, for their fathers did the same thing to the prophets.

6:24"But woe to you who are rich!
For you have received your consolation.

6:25Woe to you, you who are full now!
For you will be hungry.

Woe to you, you who laugh now!
For you will mourn and weep.

6:26Woe, when men speak well of you!
For their fathers did the same thing to the false prophets.

6:27"But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 6:28bless those who curse you, and pray for those who insult you. 6:29To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer also the other; and from him who takes away your cloak, don’t withhold your coat also. 6:30Give to everyone who asks you, and don’t ask him who takes away your goods to give them back again.

6:31"As you desire that men should do to you, likewise do to them also. 6:32If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 6:33If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 6:34If you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive back as much. 6:35But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.

6:36Therefore be merciful,
Even as your Father is also merciful.

6:37Don’t judge,
And you won't be judged.

Don’t condemn,
And you won't be condemned.

Set free,
And you will be set free.

6:38"Give, and it will be given to you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they give into your bosom. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you."

6:39He spoke a parable to them. "Can the blind guide the blind? Won’t they both fall into a pit? 6:40A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher. 6:41Why do you see the speck of chaff that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye? 6:42Or how can you tell your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck of chaff that is in your eye,’ when you yourself don’t see the beam that is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck of chaff that is in your brother’s eye. 6:43For there is no good tree that brings forth rotten fruit; nor again a rotten tree that brings forth good fruit. 6:44For each tree is known by its own fruit. For people don’t gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. 6:45The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.

6:46"Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things which I say? 6:47Everyone who comes to me, and hears my words, and does them, I will show you who he is like. 6:48He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it was founded on the rock. 6:49But he who hears, and doesn’t do, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great."

How You Should Pray

Luke 11:1-13 reads,

11:1It happened, that when he finished praying in a certain place, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples."

11:2He said to them, "When you pray, say,

‘Our Father in heaven,
May your name be kept holy.

May your kingdom come.
May your desire be done on Earth, as it is in heaven.

11:3Give us day by day our daily bread.

11:4Forgive us our sins,
For we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.

Bring us not into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.’"

11:5He said to them, "Which of you, if you go to a friend at midnight, and tell him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, 11:6for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him,’ 11:7and he from within will answer and say, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I can’t get up and give it to you’? 11:8I tell you, although he will not rise and give it to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence, he will get up and give him as many as he needs.

11:9"I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you. 11:10For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.

11:11"Which of you fathers, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he won’t give him a snake instead of a fish, will he? 11:12Or if he asks for an egg, he won’t give him a scorpion, will he? 11:13If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?"

What's Involved In Following Yah'shuah

Matthew 8:19-27 reads,

8:19A scribe came, and said to him, "Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go."

8:20Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head."

8:21Another of his disciples said to him, "Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father."

8:22But Jesus said to him, "Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead."

8:23When he got into a boat, his disciples followed him. 8:24Behold, a great tempest arose in the sea, so much that the boat was covered with the waves, but he was asleep. 8:25They came to him, and woke him up, saying, "Save us, Lord! We are dying!"

8:26He said to them, "Why are you fearful, oh you of little faith?" Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm.

8:27The men marveled, saying, "What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"

Yah'shuah's disciples should follow him WHEREVER he goes!

Following Yah'shuah Is Not Comfortable

8:20 shows that following Yah'shuah is not necessarily a comfortable lifestyle. For following Yah'shuah often means that one does not have accommodation or a place to lay his head. Yah'shuah's disciples must be willing and prepared to follow him irrespective of the cost against their comfortable lifestyle.

Following Yah'shuah Takes Priority Over Other Matters

8:21-22 shows that following Yah'shuah takes PRIORITY over any physical family duties or desires we may have.

8:26 shows that Yah'shuah's disciples should have more than just little faith, confidently drawing upon the authority of the one who has power over all.

Yah'shuah's Words To Seventy Of His Disciples

Luke 9:51-10:24 reads,

9:51It came to pass, when the days were near that he should be taken up, he intently set his face to go to Jerusalem, 9:52and sent messengers before his face. They went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, so as to prepare for him. 9:53They didn’t receive him, because he was traveling with his face set towards Jerusalem. 9:54When his disciples, James and John, saw this, they said, "Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from the sky, and destroy them, just as Elijah did?"

9:55But he turned and rebuked them, "You don’t know what kind of spirit you are of. 9:56For the Son of Man didn’t come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them."

They went to another village. 9:57As they went on the way, a certain man said to him, "I want to follow you wherever you go, Lord."

9:58Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head."

9:59He said to another, "Follow me!"

But he said, "Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father."

9:60But Jesus said to him, "Leave the dead to bury their own dead, but you go and announce the kingdom of God."

9:61Another also said, "I want to follow you, Lord, but first allow me to bid farewell to those who are at my house."

9:62But Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."

10:1Now after these things the Lord also appointed seventy others, and sent them two by two before his face into every city and place, where he himself was about to come. 10:2Then he said to them, "The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send out laborers into his harvest. 10:3Go your ways. Behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves. 10:4Carry no purse, nor wallet, nor sandals. Greet no one on the way. 10:5Into whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’ 10:6If a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you. 10:7Remain in that same house, eating and drinking the things they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Don’t go from house to house. 10:8Into whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat the things that are set before you. 10:9Heal the sick who are therein, and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ 10:10But into whatever city you enter, and they don’t receive you, go out into the streets of it and say, 10:11‘Even the dust from your city that clings to us, we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near to you.’ 10:12I tell you, it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom than for that city.

10:13"Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. 10:14But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you. 10:15You, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades. 10:16Whoever listens to you listens to me, and whoever rejects you rejects me. Whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me."

10:17The seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!"

10:18He said to them, "I saw Satan having fallen like lightning from heaven. 10:19Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you. 10:20Nevertheless, don’t rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."

10:21In that same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, "I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight."

10:22Turning to the disciples, he said, "All things have been delivered to me from my Father. No one knows who the Son is, except the Father, and who the Father is, except the Son, and he to whomever the Son desires to reveal him."

10:23Turning to the disciples, he said privately, "Blessed are the eyes which see the things that you see, 10:24for I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see the things which you see, and didn’t see them, and to hear the things which you hear, and didn’t hear them."
