Yahweh Forgives The Sins Of Those
He Heals
James 5:13-15 reads,
5:13Is
any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing
praises. 5:14Is any among you
sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him,
anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, 5:15and
the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.
If he has committed sins, it will be forgiven him. 5:16Confess your offenses one to another, and pray one for
another, that you may be healed. The effective, earnest prayer of a
righteous man is powerfully effective. 5:17Elijah
was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not
rain, and it didn’t rain on the earth for three years and six months. 5:18He prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and
the earth brought forth its fruit.
James' teaching is consistent with Yah'shuah's teaching. For Yah'shuah not
only healed a sick man, but also forgave him his sins, thereby showing that
healing and forgiveness of sins go together. Yah'shuah also showed that
sickness is brought about by sin, and warned a man he had healed not to so sin
again, lest a worse fate befall him. These are all consistent with what was
seen earlier on in Yahweh's experience with the children of
Yah'shuah's Sacrificial Acts
Facilitating Our Forgiveness And Healing
1 Peter 2:18-25 reads,
2:18Servants,
be in subjection to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and
gentle, but also to the wicked. 2:19For
it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of
conscience toward God. 2:20For
what glory is it, if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if, when
you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God. 2:21For to this were you called, because Christ
also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow his steps, 2:22who did not sin, "neither was deceit
found in his mouth." 2:23Who,
when he was reviled, didn’t revile back. When he suffered, didn’t threaten, but
committed himself to him who judges righteously; 2:24who his own self bore our sins in his body
on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by
whose stripes you were healed. 2:25For
you were going astray like sheep; but are now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
It should be noted that Yah'shuah received punishment and wounding as authorised by Yahweh. Now, we saw that those Yahweh wounds and punishes he does so on account of their sins. But Yah'shuah had no sin. He was wounded and punished on our behalf, because we have sinned. In other words, Yah'shuah took upon himself our wounding and punishment, to facilitate Yahweh forgiving us our sins and thereby healing us. Yah'shuah's sacrificial act was done out of his love for us and also for Yahweh's desire to save us. Halleluyah!
Herbal Medicine Is Appropriate
For Humans
Revelation 22:1-2 reads,
22:1He
showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the
throne of God and of the Lamb, 22:2in
the midst of its street. On this side of the river and on that was the tree of
life, bearing twelve kinds of fruits, yielding its fruit every month. The
leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. This implies that herbal medicine is indeed appropriate for humans, and that it is not inappropriate for humans to partake of herbal medicine.
Listen To Yahweh's Voice For Your
Good Health
Exodus 23:20-26 reads,
23:20"Behold,
I send an angel before you, to keep you by the way, and to bring you into the
place which I have prepared. 23:21Pay
attention to him, and listen to his voice. Don’t provoke him, for he will not
pardon your disobedience, for my name is in him. 23:22But
if you indeed listen to his voice, and do all that I speak, then I will be an
enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries. 23:23For my angel shall go before you, and
bring you in to the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Canaanite, the
Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I will cut them off. 23:24You shall not bow down to their gods, nor
serve them, nor follow their practices, but you shall utterly overthrow them
and demolish their pillars. 23:25You
shall serve Yahweh your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I
will take sickness away from your midst. 23:26No
one will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will fulfill the number of your
days.
The key to good health and long life is to listen to Yahweh's voice. For when we listen to Yahweh's voice, serving him faithfully and not partaking of idolatry, he removes sickness from our midst. In other words, he heals us. He also ensures that loss of life such as through miscarriage doesn't take place, giving us the fruit of our bodies. We should therefore listen to Yahweh's voice, faithfully serve him, and reap his blessings of good health and long life.
Abide By Yahweh's Word And Love
Those Who Serve Him
Deuteronomy 7:9-15 reads,
7:9Know
therefore that Yahweh your God, he is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant
and lovingkindness with them who love him and keep his commandments to a
thousand generations, 7:10and repays
those who hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him
who hates him, he will repay him to his face. 7:11You
shall therefore keep the commandment, and the statutes, and the ordinances,
which I command you this day, to do them. 7:12It
shall happen, because you listen to these ordinances, and keep and do them,
that Yahweh your God will keep with you the covenant and the lovingkindness
which he swore to your fathers: 7:13and
he will love you, and bless you, and multiply you; he will also bless the
fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your new
wine and your oil, the increase of your cattle and the young of your flock, in
the land which he swore to your fathers to give you. 7:14You shall be blessed above all peoples: there
shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle. 7:15Yahweh will take away from you all
sickness; and none of the evil diseases of
It is reiterated that the key to good health is to listen to Yahweh's voice, abiding by his commandments by keeping them and doing them. It should also be noted that Yahweh heals those who listen to his voice. On the other hand, he puts evil diseases upon those who hate those who abide by his word. Therefore, to ensure that are healthy, we should abide by Yahweh's word and love those who serve him.
Serve Yahweh And Forsake Idolatry
To Avoid Sickness
Deuteronomy 29:14-28 reads,
29:14Neither
with you only do I make this covenant and this oath, 29:15but with him who stands here with us this
day before Yahweh our God, and also with him who is not here with us this day 29:16(for you know how we lived in the land of
Egypt, and how we came through the midst of the nations through which you
passed; 29:17and you have seen their
abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were
among them); 29:18lest there
should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turns away
this day from Yahweh our God, to go to serve the gods of those nations; lest
there should be among you a root that bears gall and wormwood; 29:19and it happen, when he hears the words of
this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace,
though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart, to destroy the moist with the
dry. 29:20Yahweh will not pardon
him, but then the anger of Yahweh and his jealousy will smoke against that man,
and all the curse that is written in this book shall lie on him, and Yahweh
will blot out his name from under the sky. 29:21Yahweh
will set him apart to evil out of all the tribes of
Sickness comes upon a people on account their stubbornness and rebellion against Yahweh's word. Therefore, to avoid sickness, we should diligently serve Yahweh and forsake idolatry. We should abide by Yahweh's word and voice.
Pray Facing
1 Kings 8:37-40 reads,
8:37If
there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, if there be blasting or
mildew, locust or caterpillar; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their
cities; whatever plague, whatever sickness there be; 8:38whatever prayer and supplication be made by
any man, or by all your people Israel, who shall know every man the plague of
his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house: 8:39then hear in heaven, your dwelling-place,
and forgive, and do, and render to every man according to all his ways, whose
heart you know; (for you, even you only, know the hearts of all the children of
men;) 8:40that they may fear you all
the days that they live in the land which you gave to our fathers.
To aid in Yahweh forgiving us our sins resulting in our sickness we should pray toward Jerusalem. That Yahweh may both forgive us our sins and heal us of our sin-induced sickness.
1 Kings 17:17-24 reads,
17:17It
happened after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the
house, fell sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left
in him. 17:18She said to Elijah,
What have I to do with you, you man of God? You are come to me to bring my
sin to memory, and to kill my son! 17:19He
said to her, Give me your son. He took him out of her bosom, and carried him up
into the chamber, where he abode, and laid him on his own bed. 17:20He cried to Yahweh, and said, Yahweh my
God, have you also brought evil on the widow with whom I sojourn, by killing
her son? 17:21He stretched
himself on the child three times, and cried to Yahweh, and said, Yahweh my
God, please let this child’s soul come into him again. 17:22Yahweh listened to the voice of Elijah;
and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived. 17:23Elijah took the child, and brought him
down out of the chamber into the house, and delivered him to his mother; and
Elijah said, Behold, your son lives. 17:24The
woman said to Elijah, Now I know that you are a man of God, and that the
word of Yahweh in your mouth is truth.
It should be noted that it is Yahweh who restored the life of the boy back to him again! In other words, it is Yahweh who kills, and it is Yahweh who makes alive. He killed the boy, and he made the boy live again. Praise be to Yahweh!
It should also be noted that Yahweh's restoration to life of the boy was a sign to the boy's mother, causing her to believe that Yahweh was indeed performing his works through Elijah. In other words, Yahweh's healing works are a witness from Yahweh to those who see these works, that they may indeed acknowledge Yahweh's works through his servants.
Diligently Return To Yahweh In
Your Sickness That He May Heal You
2 Kings 1 reads,
1:1Moab
rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab. 1:2Ahaziah fell down through the lattice in his
upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick: and he sent messengers, and
said to them, Go, inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I shall
recover of this sickness.
1:3But
the angel of Yahweh said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the
messengers of the king of Samaria, and tell them, Is it because there is no
God in Israel, that you go to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? 1:4Now therefore thus says Yahweh, You shall
not come down from the bed where you are gone up, but shall surely die.
Elijah departed.
1:5The
messengers returned to him, and he said to them, Why is it that you have
returned? 1:6They said to him, There
came up a man to meet us, and said to us, Go, turn again to the king who sent
you, and tell him, Thus says Yahweh, Is it because there is no God in
Israel, that you send to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you
shall not come down from the bed where you are gone up, but shall surely die.
1:7He said to them, What manner of
man was he who came up to meet you, and told you these words? 1:8They answered him, He was a hairy man, and
girt with a belt of leather about his loins. He said, It is Elijah the
Tishbite.
1:9Then
the king sent to him a captain of fifty with his fifty. He went up to him: and,
behold, he was sitting on the top of the hill. He spoke to him, man of God, the
king has said, Come down. 1:10Elijah
answered to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from
the sky, and consume you and your fifty. Fire came down from the sky, and
consumed him and his fifty. 1:11Again
he sent to him another captain of fifty and his fifty. He answered him, man of
God, thus has the king said, Come down quickly. 1:12Elijah
answered them, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from the sky, and
consume you and your fifty. The fire of God came down from the sky, and
consumed him and his fifty. 1:13Again
he sent the captain of a third fifty with his fifty. The third captain of fifty
went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and begged him, and said
to him, man of God, please let my life, and the life of these fifty your
servants, be precious in your sight. 1:14Behold,
fire came down from the sky, and consumed the two former captains of fifty with
their fifties; but now let my life be precious in your sight. 1:15The angel of Yahweh said to Elijah, Go down
with him: don’t be afraid of him. He arose, and went down with him to the king.
1:16He
said to him, Thus says Yahweh, Because you have sent messengers to inquire
of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to
inquire of his word? Therefore you shall not come down from the bed where you
are gone up, but shall surely die. 1:17So
he died according to the word of Yahweh which Elijah had spoken. Jehoram
began to reign in his place in the second year of Jehoram the son of
Jehoshaphat king of Judah; because he had no son. 1:18Now
the rest of the acts of Ahaziah which he did, aren’t they written in the book
of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
The lesson of Ahaziah's life is instructive. When we are sick that is surely a time to return to Yahweh for pardon and healing. It is not a time to persist in idolatry, the very thing that brought about the sickness in the very first place. But if we persist in idolatry, not faithfully serving Yahweh, then the penalty that was decreed upon Ahaziah is also the same penalty that will be decreed upon us - death! In other words, to be healed of our sicknesses, we must indeed diligently seek Yahweh with all our heart and all our soul, repenting of our sins, confessing them, and seeking to do righteousness thereafter.
Yahweh Strikes With Incurable
Diseases Those Who Commit Iniquity
2 Chronicles 21 reads,
21:1Jehoshaphat
slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David:
and Jehoram his son reigned in his place. 21:2He
had brothers, the sons of Jehoshaphat: Azariah, and Jehiel, and Zechariah, and
Azariah, and Michael, and Shephatiah; all these were the sons of Jehoshaphat
king of Israel. 21:3Their father
gave them great gifts, of silver, and of gold, and of precious things, with
fortified cities in Judah: but the kingdom gave he to Jehoram, because he was
the firstborn.
21:4Now
when Jehoram was risen up over the kingdom of his father, and had strengthened
himself, he killed all his brothers with the sword, and various also of the
princes of Israel. 21:5Jehoram
was thirty-two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in
Jerusalem. 21:6He walked in the
way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab; for he had the daughter
of Ahab as wife: and he did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh. 21:7However Yahweh would not destroy the house
of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he
promised to give a lamp to him and to his children always. 21:8In his days Edom revolted from under the
hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves. 21:9Then
Jehoram passed over with his captains, and all his chariots with him: and he
rose up by night, and struck the Edomites who surrounded him, along with the
captains of the chariots. 21:10So
Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah to this day: then did Libnah revolt
at the same time from under his hand, because he had forsaken Yahweh, the God
of his fathers. 21:11Moreover he
made high places in the mountains of Judah, and made the inhabitants of
Jerusalem to play the prostitute, and led Judah astray.
21:12There
came a writing to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, Thus says Yahweh, the
God of David your father, Because you have not walked in the ways of
Jehoshaphat your father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah, 21:13but have walked in the way of the kings of
Israel, and have made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to play the
prostitute, like as the house of Ahab did, and also have slain your brothers of
your father’s house, who were better than yourself: 21:14behold, Yahweh will strike with a great
plague your people, and your children, and your wives, and all your substance; 21:15and you shall have great sickness by
disease of your bowels, until your bowels fall out by reason of the sickness,
day by day.
21:16Yahweh
stirred up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines, and of the Arabians
who are beside the Ethiopians: 21:17and
they came up against Judah, and broke into it, and carried away all the
substance that was found in the king’s house, and his sons also, and his wives;
so that there was never a son left him, save Jehoahaz, the youngest of his
sons. 21:18After all this Yahweh
struck him in his bowels with an incurable disease. 21:19It happened, in process of time, at the
end of two years, that his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness, and he
died of sore diseases. His people made no burning for him, like the burning
of his fathers. 21:20Thirty-two
years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight
years: and he departed without being desired; and they buried him in the city
of David, but not in the tombs of the kings.
Because of his iniquities, Yahweh struck Jehoram with an incurable disease that lead to a very slow, very painful and very miserable death! In other words, disease comes upon us on account of our sins. Therefore, to avoid disease coming upon us, we should faithfully abide by Yahweh's word. And, once disease has come upon us, we should return faithfully to Yahweh, seeking him with all our heart and soul. Seeing that Yahweh desires to heal, but does so only when we are walking in his will, he will indeed heal us of our disease.
Faithfully Serve Yahweh To Avoid
Sickness
Isaiah 33:20-24 reads,
33:20Look
on Zion, the city of our solemnities: your eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet
habitation, a tent that shall not be removed, the stakes whereof shall never be
plucked up, neither shall any of the cords of it be broken. 33:21But there Yahweh will be with us in
majesty, a place of broad rivers and streams, in which shall go no galley with
oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby. 33:22For
Yahweh is our judge, Yahweh is our lawgiver, Yahweh is our king; he will save
us. 33:23Your rigging is loosed;
they could not strengthen the foot of their mast, they could not spread the
sail: then was the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame took the prey. 33:24The inhabitant shall not say, I am sick:
the people who dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.
When Yahweh will dwell in Zion, and the inhabitants of it will be walking in Yahweh's righteousness, he will forgive them their iniquity. From then on they won't be sick, on account of sin, seeing that Yahweh will have forgiven them their sins. It should therefore be clear that sin brings about sickness. To avoid sickness we should avoid sin, and faithfully serve Yahweh, abiding by his every word.
Ask Yahweh To Deliver You That
You May Serve Him
Isaiah 38 reads,
38:1In
those days was Hezekiah sick to death. Isaiah the prophet the son of
Amoz came to him, and said to him, Thus says Yahweh, Set your house in order;
for you shall die, and not live. 38:2Then
Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed to Yahweh, 38:3and said, Remember now, Yahweh, I beg
you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have
done that which is good in your sight. Hezekiah wept sore.
38:4Then
came the word of Yahweh to Isaiah, saying, 38:5Go,
and tell Hezekiah, Thus says Yahweh, the God of David your father, I have
heard your prayer, I have seen your tears: behold, I will add to your days
fifteen years. 38:6I will
deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will
defend this city. 38:7This shall be
the sign to you from Yahweh, that Yahweh will do this thing that he has spoken:
38:8behold, I will cause the shadow
on the steps, which is gone down on the dial of Ahaz with the sun, to return
backward ten steps. So the sun returned ten steps on the dial whereon it was
gone down.
38:9The
writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of
his sickness.
38:10I
said, In the noontide of my days I shall go into the gates of Sheol:
I am deprived of the residue of my years.
38:11I
said, I shall not see Yah, Yah in the land of the living:
I shall see man no more with the inhabitants
of the world.
38:12My
dwelling is removed, and is carried away from me as a shepherd’s tent:
I have rolled up, like a weaver, my life; he
will cut me off from the loom:
From day even to night will you make an end of
me.
38:13I
quieted myself until morning; as a lion, so he breaks all my bones:
From day even to night will you make an end of
me.
38:14Like
a swallow or a crane, so did I chatter;
I did moan as a dove; my eyes fail with
looking upward:
Lord, I am oppressed, be my collateral.
38:15What
shall I say? He has both spoken to me, and himself has done it:
I shall go softly all my years because of the
bitterness of my soul.
38:16Lord,
by these things men live;
Wholly therein is the life of my spirit:
You restore me, and cause me to live.
38:17Behold,
it was for my peace that I had great bitterness:
But you have in love to my soul delivered
it from the pit of corruption;
For you have cast all my sins behind your
back.
38:18For
Sheol can’t praise you, death can’t celebrate you:
Those who go down into the pit can’t hope
for your truth.
38:19The
living, the living, he shall praise you, as I do this day:
The father to the children shall make known
your truth.
38:20Yahweh
is ready to save me:
Therefore we will sing my songs with
stringed instruments
All the days of our life in the house of
Yahweh.
38:21Now
Isaiah had said, Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it for a plaster on
the boil, and he shall recover. 38:22Hezekiah
also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of Yahweh?
It should be noted that Hezekiah asked for longer life that he may have opportunity of doing Yahweh's works, including praising Yahweh and teaching Yahweh's words and works to the next generation. In other words, when we pray to Yahweh for healing, we should ask him to deliver our souls from trouble that we may indeed serve him with the remainder of our lives. In other words, we dedicate the rest of our lives to him for his use in the manner that he sees fit.
Visit The Sick To Attain To
Eternal Life
Matthew 25:31-46 reads,
25:31"But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the
holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. 25:32Before him all the
nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a
shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 25:33He will set the
sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 25:34Then the King will
tell those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the
kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; 25:35for I was hungry,
and you gave me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me drink; I was a
stranger, and you took me in; 25:36naked, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you visited me;
I was in prison, and you came to me.’
25:37"Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when
did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? 25:38When did we see
you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? 25:39When did we see
you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’
25:40"The King will answer them, ‘Most assuredly I tell
you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it
to me.’ 25:41Then will he say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart
from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and
his angels; 25:42for I was hungry, and you didn’t give me food to eat; I was
thirsty, and you gave me no drink; 25:43I was a stranger, and you didn’t take me in; naked, and you
didn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’
25:44"Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did
we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or
in prison, and did not help you?’
25:45"Then will he answer them, saying, ‘Most assuredly I
tell you, inasmuch as you didn’t do it to one of these least, you didn’t do it
to me.’ 25:46These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous
into eternal life."
To be righteous, and be granted eternal life, we must indeed visit the sick. This is true not only physically, but also spiritually. For those who are in sin are spiritually sick. We must therefore reach out to them and impart to them Yahweh's words of life. That they may consider and depart from the way of iniquity and walk in the way of righteousness. And when they return to righteousness, acknowledging and confessing their sins, and diligently seek Yahweh with all their heart and soul, faithfully serving him and forsaking idolatry, Yahweh will indeed forgive their sins and heal them.
Healers Should Anoint With Oil
Those Who Are Sick
Mark 6:7-13 reads,
6:7He
called to himself the twelve, and began to send them out two by two; and he gave
them authority over the unclean spirits. 6:8He charged them that they should take
nothing for their journey, except a staff only: no bread, no wallet, no money
in their purse, 6:9but to wear
sandals, and not put on two tunics. 6:10He
said to them, "Wherever you enter into a house,
stay there until you depart from there. 6:11Whoever will not receive you nor hear you, as you depart from
there, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony against them.
Assuredly, I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the
day of judgment than for that city!"
6:12They
went out and preached that people should repent. 6:13They
cast out many demons, and anointed many with oil who were sick, and
healed them.
It should be noted that part of the healing process administered by Yah'shuah's disciples involves anointing with oil those who are sick and are being healed.
Healers Should Lay Hands On The
Sick To Facilitate Their Recovery
Mark 16:14-18 reads,
16:14Afterward
he was revealed to the eleven themselves as they sat at the table, and he
rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they didn’t
believe those who had seen him after he had risen. 16:15He said to them, "Go
into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation. 16:16He who believes
and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned. 16:17These signs will
accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will
speak with new languages; 16:18they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly
thing, it will in no way hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and
they will recover."
Healing Witnesses Yahweh's
Kingdom
Luke 10:1-12 reads,
10:1Now
after these things the Lord also appointed seventy others, and sent them two by
two before his face into every city and place, where he himself was about to
come. 10:2Then he said to them, "The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are
few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send out laborers
into his harvest. 10:3Go your ways. Behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of
wolves. 10:4Carry no purse, nor wallet, nor sandals. Greet no one on the
way. 10:5Into whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this
house.’ 10:6If a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; but
if not, it will return to you. 10:7Remain in that same house, eating and drinking the things
they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Don’t go from house to
house. 10:8Into whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat the
things that are set before you. 10:9Heal the sick who are therein, and tell them, ‘The kingdom of
God has come near to you.’ 10:10But into whatever
city you enter, and they don’t receive you, go out into the streets of it and
say, 10:11‘Even the dust from your city that clings to us, we wipe off
against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near to
you.’ 10:12I tell you, it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom
than for that city.
Healing Attracts A Great
Multitude
John 6:1-2 reads,
6:1After
these things, Jesus went away to the other side of the sea of Galilee, which is
also called the Sea of Tiberias. 6:2A
great multitude followed him, because they saw his signs which he did on
those who were sick.
It should be noted that healing the sick attracts a great multitude following after the one healing the sick. This happened with Yah'shuah, and happens today among those who heal the sick. For there are many who are sick and need healing, and these come that they may be healed. And there are others, who, once having been healed, are appreciative of that fact, and follow after the one through whom they were healed.
