YAHWEH'S COVENANTS IN PROPHECY

An Everlasting Covenant Broken By The Inhabitants Of The Earth

Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 24: 5

24:5The earth also is polluted under the inhabitants of it; because they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant.

Which everlasting covenant is this that the inhabitants of the earth broke? A covenant applicable to all the inhabitants of the earth?

Yahweh's Servant As A Covenant To The Peoples

Yeshayahu 42: 1-9

42:1Behold, my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen, in whom my soul delights: I have put my Spirit on him; he will bring forth justice to the Goyim. 42:2He will not cry, nor lift up his voice, nor cause it to be heard in the street. 42:3A bruised reed will he not break, and a dimly burning wick will he not quench: he will bring forth justice in truth. 42:4He will not fail nor be discouraged, until he sets justice in the eretz; and the isles shall wait for his Torah. 42:5Thus says the Mighty One Yahweh, he who created the heavens, and stretched them forth; he who spread abroad the eretz and that which comes out of it; he who gives breath to the people on it, and spirit to those who walk therein: 42:6I, Yahweh, have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and give you for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Goyim; 42:7to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness out of the prison-house. 42:8I am Yahweh, that is my name; and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to engraved images. 42:9Behold, the former things have happened, and new things do I declare. Before they spring forth I tell you of them.

Yahweh's servant was to be given as a covenant of the people, to be a light to the Goyim, to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness out of the prison-house.

The Very High Standing Of Yahweh's Servant

Yeshayahu 49

49:1Listen, isles, to me; and listen, you peoples, from far: Yahweh has called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother has he made mention of my name: 49:2and he has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand has he hid me: and he has made me a polished shaft; in his quiver has he kept me close: 49:3and he said to me, "You are my servant; Yisra'el, in whom I will be glorified." 49:4But I said, "I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely the justice due to me is with Yahweh, and my recompense with my Mighty One." 49:5Now says Yahweh who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Ya`akov again to him, and that Yisra'el be gathered to him (for I am honorable in the eyes of Yahweh, and my Mighty One is become my strength); 49:6yes, he says, "It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Ya`akov, and to restore the preserved of Yisra'el: I will also give you for a light to the Goyim, that you may be my salvation to the end of the eretz." 49:7Thus says Yahweh, the Redeemer of Yisra'el, and his Holy One, to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation abhors, to a servant of rulers: "Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of Yahweh who is faithful, even the Holy One of Yisra'el, who has chosen you." 49:8Thus says Yahweh, "In an acceptable time have I answered you, and in a day of salvation have I helped you; and I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritage: 49:9saying to those who are bound, 'Go forth'; to those who are in darkness, 'Show yourselves.'" They shall feed in the ways, and on all bare heights shall be their pasture. 49:10They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun strike them: for he who has mercy on them will lead them, even by springs of water will he guide them. 49:11I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted. 49:12Behold, these shall come from far; and, behold, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim. 49:13Sing, heavens; and be joyful, eretz; and break forth into singing, mountains: for Yahweh has comforted his people, and will have compassion on his afflicted.

49:14But Tziyon said, "Yahweh has forsaken me, and the Sovereign has forgotten me." 49:15Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you. 49:16Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me. 49:17Your children make haste; your destroyers and those who made you waste shall go forth from you. 49:18Lift up your eyes round about, and see: all these gather themselves together, and come to you. As I live, says Yahweh, you shall surely clothe you with them all as with an ornament, and gird yourself with them, like a bride. 49:19For, as for your waste and your desolate places, and your land that has been destroyed, surely now shall you be too strait for the inhabitants, and those who swallowed you up shall be far away. 49:20The children of your bereavement shall yet say in your ears, "The place is too strait for me; give place to me that I may dwell." 49:21Then shall you say in your heart, "Who has conceived these for me, seeing I have been bereaved of my children, and am solitary, an exile, and wandering back and forth? And who has brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where were they?"

49:22Thus says the Sovereign Yahweh, "Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and set up my ensign to the peoples; and they shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders. 49:23Kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers: they shall bow down to you with their faces to the eretz, and lick the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am Yahweh; and those who wait for me shall not be put to shame."

49:24Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captives be delivered? 49:25But thus says Yahweh, "Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children. 49:26I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I, Yahweh, am your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Ya`akov."

Yahweh's servant is of such a standing that it is too small a thing for him to raise up only the tribes of Yaakov, to restore the preserved of Yisrael. He is also given for a light to the Goyim, that he may be Yahweh's salvation (Yah'shuah) to the ends of the earth!

It is in him (Yah'shuah) that the covenant Yahweh made with Avraham is fulfilled. That in Avraham's seed will all the families of the earth bless themselves, by Yahweh's mercy being extended over them, in their sins being forgiven them, and thereby they being saved!

Yeshayahu also prophesies of the return of the remnant of Yisrael back to their own land. And it will indeed be a surprise not only to the nations among whom they live, but even to their own selves, that they are indeed the remnant of Yisrael! And they are indeed the remnant of Yisrael, for Yahweh has not and will not forget them!

Yahweh's Prophesied Everlasting Covenant Of Shalom With Yisrael

Yeshayahu 54

54:1Sing, barren, you who didn't bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who did not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, says Yahweh. 54:2Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of your habitations; don't spare: lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. 54:3For you shall spread aboard on the right hand and on the left; and your seed shall possess the nations, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. 54:4Don't be afraid; for you shall not be ashamed: neither be you confounded; for you shall not be put to shame: for you shall forget the shame of your youth; and the reproach of your widowhood shall you remember no more. 54:5For your Maker is your husband; Yahweh Tzva'ot is his name: and the Holy One of Yisra'el is your Redeemer; the Mighty One of the whole eretz shall he be called. 54:6For Yahweh has called you as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth, when she is cast off, says your Mighty One.

54:7For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great mercies will I gather you. 54:8In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment; but with everlasting lovingkindness will I have mercy on you, says Yahweh your Redeemer. 54:9For this is as the waters of Noach to me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noach shall no more go over the eretz, so have I sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you. 54:10For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my lovingkindness shall not depart from you, neither shall my covenant of shalom be removed, says Yahweh who has mercy on you.

54:11You afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in beautiful colors, and lay your foundations with sapphires. 54:12I will make your pinnacles of rubies, and your gates of emeralds, and all your border of precious stones. 54:13All your children shall be taught of Yahweh; and great shall be the shalom of your children. 54:14In righteousness shall you be established: you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not be afraid; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. 54:15Behold, they may gather together, but not by me: whoever shall gather together against you shall fall because of you. 54:16Behold, I have created the smith who blows the fire of coals, and brings forth a weapon for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. 54:17No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Yahweh, and their righteousness which is of me, says Yahweh.

54: 8-10 shows that Yahweh will enter into a covenant of shalom with Yisrael, to have mercy on Yisrael with eternal lovingkindness. And as he swore that the waters of Noach shall no more cover the earth, so also will he not be angry with Yisrael, nor rebuke Yisrael! Yahweh will enter into an everlasting covenant of shalom with Yisrael!

The Everlasting Covenant Of Yahweh

Yeshayahu 55: 1-4

55:1Ho, everyone who thirsts, come you to the waters, and he who has no money; come you, buy, and eat; yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 55:2Why do you spend money for that which is not bread? And you labor for that which doesn't satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat you that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. 55:3Turn your ear, and come to me; hear, and your soul shall live: and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. 55:4Behold, I have given him for a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander to the peoples.

The everlasting covenant Yahweh was to make with all who turn to him, the sure mercies of David - Yah'shuah! Yahweh has given Yah'shuah for a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander to the peoples!

Yahweh's Shabbatot And Covenant Required For Keeping By All Humans Prior To The Coming Of Yahweh's Salvation

Yeshayahu 56: 1-8

56:1Thus says Yahweh, "Keep you justice, and do righteousness; for my yeshu`ah is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. 56:2Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast; who keeps the Shabbat from profaning it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil. 56:3Neither let the foreigner, who has joined himself to Yahweh, speak, saying, 'Yahweh will surely separate me from his people'; neither let the eunuch say, 'Behold, I am a dry tree.' 56:4For thus says Yahweh of the eunuchs who keep my Shabbatot, and choose the things that please me, and hold fast my covenant: 56:5To them will I give in my house and within my walls a memorial and a name better than of sons and of daughters; I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. 56:6Also the foreigners who join themselves to Yahweh, to minister to him, and to love the name of Yahweh, to be his servants, everyone who keeps the Shabbat from profaning it, and holds fast my covenant; 56:7even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted on my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples." 56:8The Sovereign Yahweh, who gathers the outcasts of Yisra'el, says, "Yet will I gather others to him, besides his own who are gathered."

56: 1 shows that Yahweh is speaking of a time prior to the coming of his salvation, that is Yah'shuah!

In this time prior to Yah'shuah's coming he requires Yisraelites to keep both his Shabbatot and his covenant. He also requires foreigners - non-Yisraelites - to both keep his Shabbatot and his covenant!

It should therefore be clear the people Yahweh gives an everlasting name, the people he brings to his holy mountain, are those who keep both his Shabbatot and his covenant! It should therefore be clear that the requirement of keeping both Yahweh's Shabbatot and his covenant remains. It should also be clear that this requirement is binding not just on Yisraelites, to whom Yahweh's covenant was given, but also to non-Yisraelites who desire to be brought to Yahweh's holy mountain!

It therefore appears that those who desire to have both an everlasting name and to be brought to Yahweh's holy mountain MUST keep both Yahweh's Shabbatot and Yahweh's covenant! It is IRRELEVANT whether or not they are Yisraelites. The same requirement binding on Yisraelites is binding on non-Yisraelites! The keeping of both Yahweh's Shabbatot and Yahweh's covenant remains prior to the coming of Yah'shuah, prior to the time when the righteous are given an everlasting name, and prior to when the righteous are brought to Yahweh's holy mountain!

Yahweh To Place His Spirit In The Children Of Yaakov

Yeshayahu 59

59:1Behold, Yahweh's hand is not shortened, that it can't save; neither his ear heavy, that it can't hear: 59:2but your iniquities have separated between you and your Mighty One, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. 59:3For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue mutters wickedness. 59:4None sues in righteousness, and none pleads in truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity. 59:5They hatch adders' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he who eats of their eggs dies; and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper. 59:6Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands. 59:7Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; desolation and destruction are in their paths. 59:8The way of shalom they don't know; and there is no justice in their goings: they have made them crooked paths; whoever goes therein does not know shalom.

59:9Therefore is justice far from us, neither does righteousness overtake us: we look for light, but, behold, darkness; for brightness, but we walk in obscurity. 59:10We grope for the wall like the blind; yes, we grope as those who have no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the twilight; among those who are lusty we are as dead men. 59:11We roar all like bears, and moan sore like doves: we look for justice, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us. 59:12For our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and as for our iniquities, we know them: 59:13transgressing and denying Yahweh, and turning away from following our Mighty One, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.

59:14Justice is turned away backward, and righteousness stands afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and uprightness can't enter. 59:15Yes, truth is lacking; and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Yahweh saw it, and it displeased him that there was no justice. 59:16He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his own arm brought salvation to him; and his righteousness, it upheld him. 59:17He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head; and he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle. 59:18According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, wrath to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompense. 59:19So shall they fear the name of Yahweh from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which the breath of Yahweh drives. 59:20A Redeemer will come to Tziyon, and to those who turn from disobedience in Ya`akov, says Yahweh.

59:21As for me, this is my covenant with them, says Yahweh: my Spirit who is on you, and my words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your seed, nor out of the mouth of your seed's seed, says Yahweh, from henceforth and forever.

59: 21 shows the covenant that Yahweh will make with the children of Yaakov. He will put his Spirit on them and his words in their mouth, and will ensure that his words will not depart out of their mouth, or out of the mouth of their descendants!

Yisrael's Seed To Be Known Among All Nations

Yeshayahu 61

61:1The Spirit of the Sovereign Yahweh is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble; he has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 61:2to proclaim the year of Yahweh's favor, and the day of vengeance of our Mighty One; to comfort all who mourn; 61:3to appoint to those who mourn in Tziyon, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, that he may be glorified. 61:4They shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. 61:5Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and foreigners shall be your plowmen and your vine-dressers. 61:6But you shall be named the Kohanim of Yahweh; men shall call you the ministers of our Mighty One: you shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory shall you boast yourselves. 61:7Instead of your shame you shall have double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be to them. 61:8For I, Yahweh, love justice, I hate robbery with iniquity; and I will give them their recompense in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. 61:9Their seed shall be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples; all who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which Yahweh has blessed. 61:10I will greatly rejoice in Yahweh, my soul shall be joyful in my Mighty One; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. 61:11For as the eretz brings forth its bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Sovereign Yahweh will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

61: 8-9 shows that Yahweh will make an everlasting covenant with Yisrael, to make Yisrael's seed to be known among all nations, and to be acknowledged by the peoples as the seed that Yahweh has blessed.

Yahweh's Curse On Those Who Do Not Hear The Words Of His Covenant

Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 11: 1-14

11:1The word that came to Yirmeyahu from Yahweh, saying, 11:2"Hear you the words of this covenant, and speak to the men of Yahudah, and to the inhabitants of Yerushalayim; 11:3and say you to them, Thus says Yahweh, the Mighty One of Yisra'el: Cursed be the man who doesn't hear the words of this covenant, 11:4which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Mitzrayim, out of the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall you be my people, and I will be your Mighty One; 11:5that I may establish the oath which I swore to your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as at this day." Then answered I, and said, "Amen, Yahweh."

11:6Yahweh said to me, "Proclaim all these words in the cities of Yahudah, and in the streets of Yerushalayim, saying, Hear you the words of this covenant, and do them. 11:7For I earnestly protested to your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Mitzrayim, even to this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice. 11:8Yet they didn't obey, nor turn their ear, but walked everyone in the stubbornness of their evil heart: therefore I brought on them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they didn't do them."

11:9Yahweh said to me, "A conspiracy is found among the men of Yahudah, and among the inhabitants of Yerushalayim. 11:10They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, who refused to hear my words; and they are gone after other mighty ones to serve them: the house of Yisra'el and the house of Yahudah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers. 11:11Therefore thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will bring evil on them, which they shall not be able to escape; and they shall cry to me, but I will not listen to them. 11:12Then shall the cities of Yahudah and the inhabitants of Yerushalayim go and cry to mighty ones to which they offer incense: but they will not save them at all in the time of their trouble. 11:13For according to the number of your cities are your mighty ones, Yahudah; and according to the number of the streets of Yerushalayim have you set up altars to the shameful thing, even altars to burn incense to Ba`al. 11:14Therefore don't you pray for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them; for I will not hear them in the time that they cry to me because of their trouble."

Yahweh, in 11: 3, imposes a curse on anyone who does not hear the words of his covenant, that which he made with Yisrael when he brought them out of the land of Mitzrayim - the Ten Commandments!

Punishment On Those Who Forsake Yahweh's Covenant

Yirmeyahu 22: 1-11

22:1Thus said Yahweh: "Go down to the house of the king of Yahudah, and speak there this word, 22:2Say, Hear the word of Yahweh, king of Yahudah, who sits on the throne of David, you, and your servants, and your people who enter in by these gates. 22:3Thus says Yahweh: Execute you justice and righteousness, and deliver him who is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence, to the sojourner, the fatherless, nor the widow; neither shed innocent blood in this place. 22:4For if you do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting on the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people. 22:5But if you will not hear these words, I swear by myself, says Yahweh, that this house shall become a desolation. 22:6For thus says Yahweh concerning the house of the king of Yahudah: You are Gil`ad to me, and the head of Levanon; yet surely I will make you a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited. 22:7I will prepare destroyers against you, everyone with his weapons; and they shall cut down your choice cedars, and cast them into the fire. 22:8Many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbor, 'Why has Yahweh done thus to this great city?' 22:9Then they shall answer, 'Because they forsook the covenant of Yahweh their Mighty One, and worshipped other mighty ones, and served them.' 22:10Don't you weep for the dead, neither bemoan him; but weep sore for him who goes away; for he shall return no more, nor see his native country. 22:11For thus says Yahweh touching Shallum the son of Yoshiyahu, king of Yahudah, who reigned instead of Yoshiyahu his father, and who went forth out of this place: He shall not return there any more."

Yahweh punishes those who forsake Yahweh's covenant. Implying that his covenant has validity within Yisrael.

Distinctions Between Chorev Covenant And The New Covenant To The Made

Yirmeyahu 31: 31-37

31:31Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Yisra'el, and with the house of Yahudah: 31:32not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Mitzrayim; my covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them, says Yahweh. 31:33But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Yisra'el after those days, says Yahweh: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their Mighty One, and they shall be my people: 31:34and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, "Know Yahweh"; for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Yahweh: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more. 31:35Thus says Yahweh, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, so that the waves of it roar; Yahweh-Tzva'ot is his name: 31:36If these ordinances depart from before me, says Yahweh, then the seed of Yisra'el also shall cease from being a nation before me forever. 31:37Thus says Yahweh: If Heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then will I also cast off all the seed of Yisra'el for all that they have done, says Yahweh.

The distinction between the new covenant that Yahweh will make with Yisrael in the days after their gathering from all nations, and the covenant that he made with them at Chorev, is that he will write his laws in their inward parts and in their heart, whereas in the covenant at Chorev it appears that his laws were not written in their inward parts and in their heart, being written only in tablets of stone and in the book of the law!

Entering Into A New Covenant Does Not Automatically Annual An Existing Covenant

It should also be noted when Yahweh makes a covenant with someone at a particular point in time, a person he had already entered into another covenant with, he does not automatically annul the previous or existing covenant at the time he makes the subsequent covenant. For Yahweh made more than one covenant with Avraham, and also more than one covenant with Yisrael. It should therefore not be assumed that just because Yahweh will enter into a new covenant with Yisrael that he will annul the existing covenant that he made with them at Chorev, the covenant of the Ten Commandments!

The Chorev Covenant Did Not Cease To Exist With The Death And Resurrection Of The Messiah

31: 35-37 indicates that Yisrael will exist as a nation before Yahweh for all time. For the ordinances that Yahweh speaks of in these verses are to exist for all time that human beings exist on this earth, as attested to by other scriptures. This implies that the covenants Yahweh made with Yisrael to be applicable throughout all their generations will not cease to exist while those generations continue to exist. Therefore views to the effect that these covenants ceased to exist with the coming of the Messiah do not appear to be scripturally correct!

The New Covenant Will Be An Everlasting Covenant

Yirmeyahu 32: 36-44

32:36Now therefore thus says Yahweh, the Mighty One of Yisra'el, concerning this city, whereof you say, "It is given into the hand of the king of Bavel by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence": 32:37Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries, where I have driven them in my anger, and in my wrath, and in great indignation; and I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely: 32:38and they shall be my people, and I will be their Mighty One: 32:39and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: 32:40and I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following them, to do them good; and I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me. 32:41Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul. 32:42For thus says Yahweh: Like as I have brought all this great evil on this people, so will I bring on them all the good that I have promised them. 32:43Fields shall be bought in this land, whereof you say, "It is desolate, without man or animal; it is given into the hand of the Kasdim." 32:44Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe the deeds, and seal them, and call witnesses, in the land of Binyamin, and in the places about Yerushalayim, and in the cities of Yahudah, and in the cities of the hill-country, and in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South: for I will cause their captivity to return, says Yahweh.

The new covenant that Yahweh will make with regathered Yisrael will be an everlasting covenant!

Prophecy For Fulfilment After The Restoration Of Yisrael

Yirmeyahu 33: 12-26

33:12Thus says Yahweh-Tzva'ot: Yet again shall there be in this place, which is waste, without man and without animal, and in all the cities of it, a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down. 33:13In the cities of the hill-country, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South, and in the land of Binyamin, and in the places about Yerushalayim, and in the cities of Yahudah, shall the flocks again pass under the hands of him who numbers them, says Yahweh. 33:14Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Yisra'el and concerning the house of Yahudah. 33:15In those days, and at that time, will I cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David; and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. 33:16In those days shall Yahudah be saved, and Yerushalayim shall dwell safely; and this is the name whereby she shall be called: Yahweh-Tzidkenu. 33:17For thus says Yahweh: David shall never want a man to sit on the throne of the house of Yisra'el; 33:18neither shall the Kohanim the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to burn meal-offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.

33:19The word of Yahweh came to Yirmeyahu, saying, 33:20"Thus says Yahweh: If you can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, so that there shall not be day and night in their season; 33:21then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the Kohanim, my ministers. 33:22As the host of the sky can't be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites who minister to me."

33:23The word of Yahweh came to Yirmeyahu, saying, 33:24"Don't you consider what this people has spoken, saying, 'The two families which Yahweh did choose, he has cast them off?' Thus do they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them. 33:25Thus says Yahweh: If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of Heaven and earth; 33:26then will I also cast away the seed of Ya`akov, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Avraham, Yitzchak, and Ya`akov: for I will cause their captivity to return, and will have mercy on them."

The Branch of Righteousness to grow up to David mentioned in 33: 15 appears to refer to Yah'shuah the Messiah.

33: 17-18 shows that after the restoration of Yisrael in her own land, David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of Yisrael, and the Kohanim the Levites shall never lack a man to offer to Yahweh various burnt offerings and sacrifices. But right now, prior to the restoration of Yisrael in her own land, we do not see a king ruling over all Yisrael out of Yerushalayim, neither do we see the Kohanim the Levites offering burnt offerings and sacrifices to Yahweh at Yerushalayim, the place Yahweh has placed his name for all time! It should therefore be evident that this prophecy concerning the house of David and the house of Aharon is for fulfilment AFTER the restoration of Yisrael in her own land, after her gathering from her scattering in the lands of all nations of the earth!

33: 20-21 affirms assuredly that Yahweh will indeed fulfil his word concerning the house of David and the house of Aharon, the Levites the Kohanim, even though right now we do not yet see the fulfilment of these words.

33: 23-26 add further assurances that Yahweh will indeed fulfil his word concerning the house of David, and that the seed of David will rule over the seed of Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov.

Yahweh's Covenant At Chorev Encompassed More Than The Ten Commandments

Yirmeyahu 34: 8-22

34:8The word that came to Yirmeyahu from Yahweh, after the king Tzidkiyahu had made a covenant with all the people who were at Yerushalayim, to proclaim liberty to them; 34:9that every man should let his man-servant, and every man his maid-servant, who is a Hebrew or a Hebrewess, go free; that none should make bondservants of them, to wit, of a Yahudi his brother. 34:10All the princes and all the people obeyed, who had entered into the covenant, that everyone should let his man-servant, and everyone his maid-servant, go free, that none should make bondservants of them any more; they obeyed, and let them go: 34:11but afterwards they turned, and caused the servants and the handmaids, whom they had let go free, to return, and brought them into subjection for servants and for handmaids. 34:12Therefore the word of Yahweh came to Yirmeyahu from Yahweh, saying, 34:13"Thus says Yahweh, the Mighty One of Yisra'el: I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Mitzrayim, out of the house of bondage, saying, 34:14At the end of seven years you shall let go every man his brother who is a Hebrew, who has been sold to you, and has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you: but your fathers didn't listen to me, neither inclined their ear. 34:15You were now turned, and had done that which is right in my eyes, in proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbor; and you had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name: 34:16but you turned and profaned my name, and caused every man his servant, and every man his handmaid, whom you had let go free at their pleasure, to return; and you brought them into subjection, to be to you for servants and for handmaids. 34:17Therefore thus says Yahweh: you have not listened to me, to proclaim liberty, every man to his brother, and every man to his neighbor: behold, I proclaim to you a liberty, says Yahweh, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth. 34:18I will give the men who have transgressed my covenant, who have not performed the words of the covenant which they made before me, when they cut the calf in two and passed between the parts of it; 34:19the princes of Yahudah, and the princes of Yerushalayim, the eunuchs, and the Kohanim, and all the people of the land, who passed between the parts of the calf; 34:20I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life; and their dead bodies shall be for food to the birds of the sky, and to the animals of the earth. 34:21Tzidkiyahu king of Yahudah and his princes will I give into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life, and into the hand of the king of Bavel's army, who have gone away from you. 34:22Behold, I will command, says Yahweh, and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire: and I will make the cities of Yahudah a desolation, without inhabitant."

34: 13-14 shows that the proclamation of liberty to Hebrew slaves was part of the covenant that Yahweh made with Yisrael when they came out of the land of Mitzrayim. It is thus evident that the covenant that Yahweh made with Yisrael at Chorev included more than just the Ten Commandments, though the Ten Commandments were the chief provisions of this covenant, and the embodiment of this covenant!

The matters pertaining to the covenant Yahweh made with Yisrael when they came out of Mitzrayim are found in Shemot 19: 1 to 24: 3. The scriptures included in this reference show the covenant Yahweh made with Yisrael when they came out of the land of Mitzrayim.

34: 17-22 shows that Yahweh punishes those who breach his covenant.

The New Covenant Will Be Everlasting

Yirmeyahu 50: 4-6

50:4In those days, and in that time, says Yahweh, the children of Yisra'el shall come, they and the children of Yahudah together; they shall go on their way weeping, and shall seek Yahweh their Mighty One. 50:5They shall inquire concerning Tzion with their faces turned toward it, saying, "Come you, and join yourselves to Yahweh in an everlasting covenant that shall not be forgotten." 50:6My people have been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray; they have turned them away on the mountains; they have gone from mountain to hill; they have forgotten their resting-place.

The covenant Yahweh will enter into with both Yisrael and Yahudah will be an everlasting covenant.

The Prophesied Everlasting Covenant Of Mercy

Yechezkel (Ezekiel) 16

16:1Again the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, 16:2"Son of man, cause Yerushalayim to know her abominations; 16:3and say, Thus says the Sovereign Yahweh to Yerushalayim: Your origin and your birth is of the land of the Kana`ani; the Amori was your father, and your mother was a Hittite. 16:4As for your birth, in the day you were born your navel was not cut, neither were you washed in water to cleanse you; you weren't salted at all, nor swaddled at all. 16:5No eye pitied you, to do any of these things to you, to have compassion on you; but you were cast out in the open field, for your person was abhorred, in the day that you were born.

16:6"When I passed by you, and saw you weltering in your blood, I said to you, Though you are in your blood, live; yes, I said to you, Though you are in your blood, live. 16:7I caused you to multiply as that which grows in the field, and you did increase and wax great, and you attained to excellent ornament; your breasts were fashioned, and your hair was grown; yet you were naked and bare.

16:8"Now when I passed by you, and looked at you, behold, your time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over you, and covered your nakedness: yes, I swore to you, and entered into a covenant with you, says the Sovereign Yahweh, and you became mine. 16:9Then washed I you with water; yes, I thoroughly washed away your blood from you, and I anointed you with oil. 16:10I clothed you also with embroidered work, and shod you with sealskin, and I girded you about with fine linen, and covered you with silk. 16:11I decked you with ornaments, and I put bracelets on your hands, and a chain on your neck. 16:12I put a ring on your nose, and ear-rings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head. 16:13Thus were you decked with gold and silver; and your clothing was of fine linen, and silk, and embroidered work; you ate fine flour, and honey, and oil; and you were exceeding beautiful, and you did prosper to royal estate. 16:14Your renown went forth among the nations for your beauty; for it was perfect, through my majesty which I had put on you, says the Sovereign Yahweh.

16:15"But you did trust in your beauty, and played the prostitute because of your renown, and poured out your prostitution on everyone who passed by; his it was. 16:16You did take of your garments, and made for you high places decked with various colors, and played the prostitute on them: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so. 16:17You did also take your beautiful jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given you, and made for you images of men, and did play the prostitute with them; 16:18and you took your embroidered garments, and covered them, and did set my oil and my incense before them. 16:19My bread also which I gave you, fine flour, and oil, and honey, with which I fed you, you did even set it before them for a sweet savor; and thus it was, says the Sovereign Yahweh. 16:20Moreover you have taken your sons and your daughters, whom you have borne to me, and these have you sacrificed to them to be devoured. Was your prostitution a small matter, 16:21that you have slain my children, and delivered them up, in causing them to pass through the fire to them? 16:22In all your abominations and your prostitution you have not remembered the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare, and were weltering in your blood.

16:23It has happened after all your wickedness, (woe, woe to you! says the Sovereign Yahweh,) 16:24that you have built to you a vaulted place, and have made you a lofty place in every street. 16:25You have built your lofty place at the head of every way, and have made your beauty an abomination, and have opened your feet to everyone who passed by, and multiplied your prostitution. 16:26You have also committed sexual immorality with the Mitzrim, your neighbors, great of flesh; and have multiplied your prostitution, to provoke me to anger.

16:27See therefore, I have stretched out my hand over you, and have diminished your ordinary food, and delivered you to the will of those who hate you, the daughters of the Pelishtim, who are ashamed of your lewd way. 16:28You have played the prostitute also with the Ashshur, because you were insatiable; yes, you have played the prostitute with them, and yet you weren't satisfied. 16:29You have moreover multiplied your prostitution to the land of traffic, to Kasdim; and yet you weren't satisfied herewith.

16:30How weak is your heart, says the Sovereign Yahweh, seeing you do all these things, the work of an impudent prostitute; 16:31in that you build your vaulted place at the head of every way, and make your lofty place in every street, and have not been as a prostitute, in that you scorn hire. 16:32A wife who commits adultery! Who takes strangers instead of her husband! 16:33They give gifts to all prostitutes; but you give your gifts to all your lovers, and bribe them, that they may come to you on every side for your prostitution. 16:34You are different from other women in your prostitution, in that none follows you to play the prostitute; and whereas you give hire, and no hire is given to you, therefore you are different.

16:35Therefore, prostitute, hear the word of Yahweh: 16:36Thus says the Sovereign Yahweh, Because your filthiness was poured out, and your nakedness uncovered through your prostitution with your lovers; and because of all the idols of your abominations, and for the blood of your children, that you gave to them; 16:37therefore see, I will gather all your lovers, with whom you have taken pleasure, and all those who you have loved, with all those who you have hated; I will even gather them against you on every side, and will uncover your nakedness to them, that they may see all your nakedness. 16:38I will judge you, as women who break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will bring on you the blood of wrath and jealousy. 16:39I will also give you into their hand, and they shall throw down your vaulted place, and break down your lofty places; and they shall strip you of your clothes, and take your beautiful jewels; and they shall leave you naked and bare. 16:40They shall also bring up a company against you, and they shall stone you with stones, and thrust you through with their swords. 16:41They shall burn your houses with fire, and execute judgments on you in the sight of many women; and I will cause you to cease from playing the prostitute, and you shall also give no hire any more. 16:42So will I cause my wrath toward you to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from you, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.

16:43Because you have not remembered the days of your youth, but have raged against me in all these things; therefore, behold, I also will bring your way on your head, says the Sovereign Yahweh: and you shall not commit this lewdness with all your abominations. 16:44Behold, everyone who uses proverbs shall use this proverb against you, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter. 16:45You are the daughter of your mother, who loathes her husband and her children; and you are the sister of your sisters, who loathed their husbands and their children: your mother was a Hittite, and your father an Amori. 16:46Your elder sister is Shomron, who dwells at your left hand, she and her daughters; and your younger sister, who dwells at your right hand, is Sedom and her daughters. 16:47Yet have you not walked in their ways, nor done after their abominations; but, as if that were a very little thing, you were more corrupt than they in all your ways. 16:48As I live, says the Sovereign Yahweh, Sedom your sister has not done, she nor her daughters, as you have done, you and your daughters. 16:49Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sedom: pride, fullness of bread, and prosperous ease was in her and in her daughters; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. 16:50They were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good. 16:51Neither has Shomron committed half of your sins; but you have multiplied your abominations more than they, and have justified your sisters by all your abominations which you have done. 16:52You also, bear you your own shame, in that you have given judgment for your sisters; through your sins that you have committed more abominable than they, they are more righteous that you: yes, be you also confounded, and bear your shame, in that you have justified your sisters.

16:53I will turn again their captivity, the captivity of Sedom and her daughters, and the captivity of Shomron and her daughters, and the captivity of your captives in the midst of them; 16:54that you may bear your own shame, and may be ashamed because of all that you have done, in that you are a comfort to them. 16:55Your sisters, Sedom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate; and Shomron and her daughters shall return to their former estate; and you and your daughters shall return to your former estate. 16:56For your sister Sedom was not mentioned by your mouth in the day of your pride, 16:57before your wickedness was uncovered, as at the time of the reproach of the daughters of Aram, and of all who are round about her, the daughters of the Pelishtim, who do despite to you round about. 16:58You have borne your lewdness and your abominations, says Yahweh.

16:59For thus says the Sovereign Yahweh: I will also deal with you as you have done, who has despised the oath in breaking the covenant. 16:60Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish to you an everlasting covenant. 16:61Then shall you remember your ways, and be ashamed, when you shall receive your sisters, your elder sisters and your younger; and I will give them to you for daughters, but not by your covenant. 16:62I will establish my covenant with you; and you shall know that I am Yahweh; 16:63that you may remember, and be confounded, and never open your mouth any more, because of your shame, when I have forgiven you all that you have done, says the Sovereign Yahweh."

The covenant Yahweh will enter into with restored Yisrael can be described as the everlasting covenant of mercy!

Punishment For Those Who Break Yahweh's Covenants

Yechezkel 17: 19-20

17:19Therefore thus says the Sovereign Yahweh: As I live, surely my oath that he has despised, and my covenant that he has broken, I will even bring it on his own head. 17:20I will spread my net on him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Bavel, and will enter into judgment with him there for his trespass that he has trespassed against me.

Yahweh punishes those who break covenants he makes with them.

Yahweh Will Enter Into An Everlasting Covenant With Yisrael In A Wilderness

Yechezkel 20: 33-44

20:33As I live, says the Sovereign Yahweh, surely with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, will I be king over you: 20:34and I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries in which you are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out; 20:35and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there will I enter into judgment with you face to face. 20:36Like as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Mitzrayim, so will I enter into judgment with you, says the Sovereign Yahweh. 20:37I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; 20:38and I will purge out from among you the rebels, and those who disobey against me; I will bring them forth out of the land where they sojourn, but they shall not enter into Eretz-Yisra'el: and you shall know that I am Yahweh.

20:39As for you, house of Yisra'el, thus says the Sovereign Yahweh: Go you, serve everyone his idols, and hereafter also, if you will not listen to me; but my holy name shall you no more profane with your gifts, and with your idols. 20:40For in my holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Yisra'el, says the Sovereign Yahweh, there shall all the house of Yisra'el, all of them, serve me in the land: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the first-fruits of your offerings, with all your holy things. 20:41As a sweet savor will I accept you, when I bring you out from the peoples, and gather you out of the countries in which you have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you in the sight of the nations. 20:42You shall know that I am Yahweh, when I shall bring you into Eretz-Yisra'el, into the country which I swore to give to your fathers. 20:43There shall you remember your ways, and all your doings, in which you have polluted yourselves; and you shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that you have committed. 20:44You shall know that I am Yahweh, when I have dealt with you for my name's sake, not according to your evil ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, you house of Yisra'el, says the Sovereign Yahweh.

20: 35-37 shows that Yahweh will enter into an everlasting covenant with regathered Yisrael in a wilderness, even as he entered into another covenant with their fathers in a wilderness after they had come out of Mitzrayim.

Some Yisraelites Will Die In The Wilderness Prior To Arriving At The Land Of Promise

20: 38 shows that not all Yisraelites who will have been drawn from the various nations among which they are scattered will eventually arrive at the land of promise. For some of them will die in the wilderness prior to arriving at the land of promise, even as happened with their fathers. This indicates that the journey to Yisrael from the various nations where the children of Yisrael are scattered will not be an urgent one, but will take a bit of time!

Restored Yisrael Will Offer Offerings To Yahweh

20: 40-41 clearly shows that Yahweh will indeed require offerings of restored Yisrael, showing that his laws pertaining to offerings will not have been done away, notwithstanding the views of those who think that they have been done away with subsequent to the death and resurrection of Yah'shuah the Messiah!

Evil Animals To Be Removed From The Land

Yechezkel 34: 20-31

34:20Therefore thus says the Sovereign Yahweh to them: Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep. 34:21Because you thrust with side and with shoulder, and push all the diseased with your horns, until you have scattered them abroad; 34:22therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between sheep and sheep. 34:23I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. 34:24I, Yahweh, will be their Mighty One, and my servant David prince among them; I, Yahweh, have spoken it.

34:25I will make with them a covenant of shalom, and will cause evil animals to cease out of the land; and they shall dwell securely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods. 34:26I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in its season; there shall be showers of blessing. 34:27The tree of the field shall yield its fruit, and the eretz shall yield its increase, and they shall be secure in their land; and they shall know that I am Yahweh, when I have broken the bars of their yoke, and have delivered them out of the hand of those who made slaves of them. 34:28They shall no more be a prey to the nations, neither shall the animals of the eretz devour them; but they shall dwell securely, and none shall make them afraid. 34:29I will raise up to them a plantation for renown, and they shall be no more consumed with famine in the land, neither bear the shame of the nations any more. 34:30They shall know that I, Yahweh, their Mighty One am with them, and that they, the house of Yisra'el, are my people, says the Sovereign Yahweh. 34:31You my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, are men, and I am your Mighty One, says the Sovereign Yahweh.

Yahweh's covenant of shalom with restored Yisrael will have the effect of removing evil animals from the land of Yisrael. These will dwell in the wilderness and in the woods. Also, Yahweh will bless the agricultural produce of the land of Yisrael.

Additional Provisions Of Yahweh's Prophesied Everlasting Covenant

Yechezkel 37: 15-28

37:15The word of Yahweh came again to me, saying, 37:16"You, son of man, take one stick, and write on it, For Yahudah, and for the children of Yisra'el his companions: then take another stick, and write on it, For Yosef, the stick of Efrayim, and for all the house of Yisra'el his companions: 37:17and join them for you one to another into one stick, that they may become one in your hand. 37:18When the children of your people shall speak to you, saying, Will you not show us what you mean by these? 37:19tell them, Thus says the Sovereign Yahweh: Behold, I will take the stick of Yosef, which is in the hand of Efrayim, and the tribes of Yisra'el his companions; and I will put them with it, even with the stick of Yahudah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in my hand. 37:20The sticks whereon you write shall be in your hand before their eyes. 37:21Say to them, Thus says the Sovereign Yahweh: Behold, I will take the children of Yisra'el from among the nations, where they are gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: 37:22and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Yisra'el; and one king shall be king to them all; and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all; 37:23neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will save them out of all their dwelling-places, in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their Mighty One. 37:24My servant David shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my ordinances, and observe my statutes, and do them. 37:25They shall dwell in the land that I have given to Ya`akov my servant, in which your fathers lived; and they shall dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children's children, forever: and David my servant shall be their prince for ever. 37:26Moreover I will make a covenant of shalom with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore. 37:27My tent also shall be with them; and I will be their Mighty One, and they shall be my people. 37:28The nations shall know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies Yisra'el, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them forevermore."

Yahweh's covenant of shalom with restored Yisrael, which is an everlasting covenant, includes additional provisions. Yahweh will restore Yisrael to her own land, and multiply Yisrael. Yahweh will also place his sanctuary in the midst of Yisrael forevermore!

The Covenant Of Shalom

Hoshea (Hosea) 2: 17-23

2:17For I will take away the names of the Ba`alim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be mentioned by their name. 2:18In that day will I make a covenant for them with the animals of the field, and with the birds of the sky, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the land, and will make them to lie down safely. 2:19I will betroth you to me forever; yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness, and in justice, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. 2:20I will even betroth you to me in faithfulness; and you shall know Yahweh. 2:21It shall happen in that day, I will answer, says Yahweh, I will answer the heavens, and they shall answer the earth; 2:22and the earth shall answer the grain, and the new wine, and the oil; and they shall answer Yizre`el. 2:23I will sow her to me in the earth; and I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; and I will tell those who were not my people, You are my people; and they shall say, You are my Mighty One.

Yahweh's Covenant With Yisrael When They Came Out Of Mitzrayim

Chaggai (Haggai) 2: 5-9

2:5This is the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Mitzrayim, and my Spirit lived among you. Don't be afraid.' 2:6For this is what Yahweh-Tzva'ot says: 'Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, the earth, the sea, and the dry land; 2:7and I will shake all nations. The precious things of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory, says Yahweh-Tzva'ot. 2:8The silver is mine, and the gold is mine,' says Yahweh-Tzva'ot. 2:9'The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,' says Yahweh-Tzva'ot; 'and in this place will I give shalom,' says Yahweh-Tzva'ot."

The Covenant Of Levi

Malakhi (Malachi) 2: 1-9

2:1Now, you Kohanim, this commandment is for you. 2:2If you will not hear, and if you will not lay it to heart, to give glory to my name, says Yahweh-Tzva'ot, then will I send the curse on you, and I will curse your blessings; yes, I have cursed them already, because you do not lay it to heart. 2:3Behold, I will rebuke your seed, and will spread dung on your faces, even the dung of your feasts; and you shall be taken away with it. 2:4You shall know that I have sent this commandment to you, that my covenant may be with Levi, says Yahweh-Tzva'ot. 2:5My covenant was with him of life and shalom; and I gave them to him who he might fear; and he feared me, and stood in awe of my name. 2:6The law of truth was in his mouth, and unrighteousness was not found in his lips: he walked with me in shalom and uprightness, and turned many away from iniquity. 2:7For the Kohen's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth; for he is the messenger of Yahweh-Tzva'ot. 2:8But you are turned aside out of the way; you have caused many to stumble in the law; you have corrupted the covenant of Levi, says Yahweh-Tzva'ot. 2:9Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as you have not kept my ways, but have had respect of persons in the law.

The Messenger Of The Covenant

Malakhi 3: 1

3:1Behold, I send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Sovereign, whom you seek, will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, behold, he comes, says Yahweh-Tzva'ot.

The messenger of the covenant is Yah'shuah the Sovereign coming to his temple.
